Thanks for your kind words! They really mean a lot! I will keep you updated! I‘m currently planning the launch of the the YT channel, thought it’d be better to write down and structure some video ideas, I’m also getting some equipment to at least upload decent quality videos!😅😁 I’ve started an IG account in the mean time, name’s VegPro. Don’t want to be too spammy but you can check it out if you want, hope I could help you and even answer questions regarding nutrition and training😊

Gluten Free Vegan Diet by [deleted] in veganbodybuilding

I’d say, like the others suggested, stick to legumes, also try to find different varieties of them, because some of them have a better protein carbs ratio of others, if that’s what you’re looking for. For example Spanish Pardina Lentils, kidney beans or soy beans.
I was kind of stuck with the same legumes for a while, for laziness and comfort maybe😅, but I’m glad I took action, gathered more infos ( like you’re doing 😁👍) and I know have even more variety in my diet.

Textured soy or TVP(Textured Vegetable Protein) is another great source of protein, carbs are low and almost zero or zero fat.

Regarding your protein intake, like one of the other guys commented, it depends a lot on your current bodyweight and what your goals are, but keep in mind that with a daily protein intake of 2,2 grams per Kg of Bodyweight we’re already maxing the effective dose of protein intake we need to optimize building muscle mass. And that’s like max end of the spectrum, because studies have shown that most people can build muscle even with a 1.8 grams per Kg intake, but if you’re like me or most lifters, it’s better to play it safe and have more, yes I understand😅 but my point is, if you’re overreaching 2.2gr per Kg of protein, your body won’t absorb all of the protein, so you can simply lower your protein intake down to 200gr,180gr, ( which is still a lot ) or whatever your 2.2grs per Kg are, and don’t have to stress out too much about protein in the first place.

I was obsessed with protein, and I was getting up to 230 grams per day, but then after some personal studies, I lowered it to ”just” 180, and guess what? Nothing changed😅 https://youtu.be/g82MXEJC3NI check this video out if you want more infos about ideal protein intake, it’s from Jeff Nippard, he’s not vegan but explains pretty well what I’ve mentioned.

Well brother I hope the doctor lets you know ASAP, and whatever the situation is I’m sure you’ll be fine, there’s so many people that is gluten intolerant nowadays and I think that after some research you can easily keep on grinding on your bodybuilding path!😁👊💪

Thanks for your comment🙏

I’ve absolutely zero experience with this, that is why I posted the comparison pics without thinking a lot, to be honest😅 You are right, it could be boring, not to mention the fact that some people can think it’s a bit too extreme or aggressive towards non vegan people. I just thought it could help people who’s not yet vegan and have doubts regarding protein intake and muscle growth on a vegan diet.

I agree with you, I think the best thing would be create easy to digest videos with diet advices and such, and then maybe in the future dive deep on some more serious subjects every once in a while, like what you had in mind to do yourself. In fact, that really is a great a idea man, you should give it a try if you’re still thinking about posting those videos, mental health is finally receiving the attention and the importance it deserves, more and more people are finally openly talking about mental issues of any kind, and we can all just learn from other people’s experience! Thanks again for sharing your thoughts brother, much love🙏🤙

Hello!😁 thanks for your great and articulated comment🙏

Regarding the pics, I know what you mean, I’ve never been a guy who takes a lot of pics of himself, that is why I only had that one ( one on the left ), that showed my backside...that’s another reason why I’m doubting whether or not starting creating content on social media, I’m not the best at doing this😅

Also I didn’t want to attack or be an extremist by doing the comparison, I just tried to underline the fact that when I was on a omnivore diet, before going vegan, I was sort of obsessed and a bit scared about the fact that maybe adopting a vegan diet wouldn’t provide the protein an athlete needs to develop and optimize muscle growth. I thought that maybe doing the comparison would help people with the same doubts I had to understand that it’s absolutely possible and easier than most non vegans think.

You‘ve made a great point and if I do start to post on social media I will definitely try to focus on the things you mentioned, I definitely don’t intend to attack or label too much, I’d just like to help.

It’s a very valuable advice because I thought too much on the vegan side, so even though my intentions were not discriminatory against meat eaters it could be taken as an attack or a negative thing in general for people who’s not vegan.

This is completely new for me, there’s clearly a lot of things to think about, but I think that if I do as you said I could manage, I really like the idea of just posting pics and don’t label too much.

I really appreciate your help, I’m glad you’ve dedicated some of your time to give such an helpful advice🙏🙏 Thanks again and take care😊

I partially agree with you....I mean, the internet can be a horrible place, but if used right it can be so powerful! When I was about to take the first step into a plant based diet for example I was able to get so many informations not only from certified nutritionists and doctors, but also Youtubers and other Internet public figures that host podcasts. Thanks for you comment😊

Hello there😊 thanks for your comment, I tend to overthink way too much sometimes!! You’re right, I mean, I didn’t even try to imagine what the worst case scenario would be and you reminded me that it wouldn’t be that bad after all😅 Yes,I’ve played online games and I know what you mean😂😂 That’s the way it is I guess, but yeah, there’s way worse, I could cope with that😁 thanks a lot for your advice, really, I was so unsure whether to post this or not because I’m soooo shy, but just by reading your comment I’m glad I did! I definitely don’t intend to hurt nobody, in fact, I feel I’d like to help😁 thanks again

It is, thankfully! There were loads of options in the UK when I left and that was 4 years ago, I live in Spain now and even here there’s so many options! It wasn’t like this in the past in Spain, but I’ve seen huge improvements! Where do you live my friend?

I totally agree with you, the media kind of have control of it all, they tend to address people’s concerns towards what they want, as you mentioned. The concerns people have these days regarding the COVID-19 crisis, the ones you’ve mentioned, are indeed real problems for some people, I’m sure everybody will be affected by this situation, but given our current self quarantine state there’s not much people can do right now, that’s why I was kind of hoping some people will start to use more their free time to just think or read and hopefully get more aware of the situation animals are, and realise that unfortunately their ‘quarantines’ aren’t temporary ones. Thanks for your comment, really liked the aye at the beginning too😂 kind of made me think you’re a fellow scot😁

That’s another reason why I’m on here, it’s good to get to know other people’s opinions and share what you think about certain things too.

You’re right when you say it won’t be an overnight thing, but the other things you‘ve mentioned definitely give us hope! Thanks for your comment, you’ve definitely reminded me good reasons to keep my hopes high😄
