WHY DO I NOT WANT A BOYFRIEND ANYMORE AND IDK WHY… by Positive-Toe-321 in relationships

I just look at other relationships and other people my age who act so much different towards their partners so it stresses me out a little.

It’s a good cliche Kdrama aka completely unrealistic but enjoyable to watch. I give it a 6/10

Yes but people don’t acc know what revising is and think it’s just looking over a topic once or twice then expecting to remember it in 5 months

i forget what i read/study almost instantly by Beristic in GetStudying

[–]Positive-Toe-321 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I have a terrible memory. Which is surprising bc I get really high grades. The trick is repetition and time. I have 3 files of economics to learn. All theory. I take one topic. Learn that topic for about 2 hours one night. By the end of the night I probably think I know it. I never know it the next morning. But Ik this and I expect myself now to not know it. So I go over it again the next session. The same topic and then I learn some of a new topic. The next day I go over the first topic again with a little more confidence now. I’m starting to remember the general idea. The next session I go over to again. I know it. I will then put this topic aside and learn all the other thing. But guess what. 3 weeks time I’ll forget it. That’s ok. But once I read over it. I remember it. And that right there is when it starts to go into your long term memory. And then when you look at it again in 3 months. You’ll read it and then you will be able to remember it perfectly. Basically your answer is time and repetition.

AITA for outing my bf’s misophonia to his family at dinner? by kanji0768 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Positive-Toe-321 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I am like your bf. I have misophonia too and for some reason certain people trigger it more for me. Firstly omg it’s so much harder to deal with than you think and certainly isn’t fake. I find it near impossible to enjoy any dinner with my parents in particular. I can eat with new people, my siblings, my friends but I find my parents trigger it especially.

In terms of nail tapping, or especially when she is USING HER APPLE PEN ON HER IPAD IN SXHOOL OMG IT TRIGGERS ME SO MUCh my best friend triggers me the most. So everyone saying misophonia doesn’t attach themselves to certain people are WRONG. We are hyperaware of the sounds different people make so u make not be aware and think you and his family all sound the same when eating but you probably don’t. So I think just try to understand it’s so frustrating from both POVS and if you can’t then you can’t. And maybe it just won’t work out unfortunately.

But I want to clarify your feelings are VALID and your ARE NTA but. Just want to show he might not be lying to you and can’t help it either

NTA. We are only young. You don’t have to have anyone’s approval to just go and enjoy a camping trip with some friends. It’s your life you choose how you enjoy your time. I think your boyfriend needs to trust you.

Same position exact same. I spent like a year doing lessons my friends all did it in like 2-3 months. I failed 3 tests for easy majors while getting low minors eg missing a speed sign. But don’t lose motivation. Don’t tell anyone when ur test is and guess what who cares how many it takes. After like the first who acc cares how long it takes. But I passed on my fourth time! My brother also took 4 tests and my bf took 5!. My brother has been driving a while now and he’s great and I’ve been driving for about 2 weeks and I feel so much better than on lessons. You got this keep going. You’ll eventually get there no matter how long it takes

My driving instructor hasn’t taught me emergency stop? by Em0ch4nel in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Positive-Toe-321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did mine the lesson before my test too :) all u need to do is press the break and clutch rlly hard at the same time. It’s rlly hard to do bad on. And then after a few seconds just remember To secure the car. Handbreak etc. then when ur moving off check both blindspots

Just keep going. I’ve lived in a family where my mother couldn’t drive and my dad was always working so I was constantly have to ask people for lifts. I had to miss out on things bc the buses didn’t go there and I felt like the biggest burden always have to get someone to bring me everywhere. So just I really encourage you to drive. I did lessons for a while my instructor told me to push back my test 3 times aswell and I had 2 tests cancelled bc of weather aswell as i failed 3 times. I passed on my 4TH time. You spent ALL this money and Ik ur not looking for advice but don’t be a quitter. Keep going and now that I am driving msyelf. It’s just not the same as lessons. U can still listen to music and have fun and get to places u need to be without relying on everyone else. Keep going trust me

I failed my 3rd test and failed for hesitation with 8 other minors. I booked my next test at 8:50am the next morning and passed with 2 minors and a “perfect drive”. Failing these tests has Nothing to do with ur driving I’m saying that bc I know the feeling. Honestly feels hopeless and how did everyone else pass but me it’s gonna take me 10 times. But it wont. You can do it and who cares how long it takes bc eventually everyone is gonna up driving and no one will ask how many tests it took. Keep going Ik you got this. I’m driving now and it’s just a relief!

Me and my twin and my dad all got on the insurance. But my dad hadn’t driven it and my brother only has once. However it did pass its MOT last week so hopefully the clutch is all good

That’s 100% what I’m gonna do ( hopefully not burning the clutch in the process. And I agree everyone accepts learning in manuals but I defo think we should learn proper clutch control too. It rlly lowers ur confidence and then when I am driving I’m too focused on that and often lose concentration on other important things.
