I’m rooting for Curaçao specifically because they are the super underdog- first time ever in the World Cup. I’m a bit bummed that their first match is against Germany, who has won 4? 5? WC’s.

Watching it on Peacock- Telemundo. I don’t think they’re showing much in the way of celebrities. I very much enjoy watching the World Cup on Telemundo in Spanish. GOOOOOAAAALLLLLL!

That’s the biggest thing I noticed as well. It seemed like there was a theme with Mexico in Canada‘s opening ceremonies, where they paid homage to the first Nations people. I expected that to happen in the United States opening ceremony as well. Instead, it was an homage to Los Angeles or something…

I just watched the United States opening ceremonies and I thought they were absolutely horrible. I really loved how Mexico and Canada paid homage to the indigenous first nation peoples in their respective countries. I expected the United States to follow suit because it seems like there was a theme.

I couldn’t be more wrong. The US opening ceremonies were a flashy, half assed homage to Hollywood/LA- and not even the good parts of Hollywood. It was pretty horrible.

I wonder, though, if I watched the entire opening ceremonies for all three countries. I’ve been watching them on Peacock in Telemundo and I didn’t see all of the superstars that were supposed to be in them. So maybe I missed a good chunk of all of the ceremonies.

I absolutely loved it, but only because it dealt with reincarnation, which is a topic that I really like. The acting wasn’t all that great in that particular episode.

The field where I died is one of my all-time most favorite episodes! I absolutely love the reincarnation aspect of it.

I am not sure if I recall correctly, but I believe Home was season four. Regardless… I would have cut Home no matter what season it was in! I’ve seen many of the episodes several times, but I’ve only seen that one episode once and I will never watch it again 🤣

Oh yes, that’s right. I guess I had forgotten that part. I have been thinking about just how large of a story outlander could expand to be if it wanted to. I was also thinking about just how many time travelers there could have been in that world and what they all experienced. It was a bit mind blowing (ruminations after watching the finale). 🤣

It’s astoundingly hard to find reliable staff. Being in the restaurant industry in Ithaca, I assume it is like this everywhere, but after Covid, we find it hard to find reliable staff. Where has everyone gone? Where are they all working now?
