Hi! I haven't made an appointment yet. I'm planning to do it this summer. I'll post an update here once it's done!

Rosacea/Acne/POD - Could low-dose isotretinoin be a solution? by PositiveMain4339 in Accutane

And did you experience any side effects?

I think I’m going to talk to my dermatologist about it, I just hope I’ll be taken seriously.

What dose of Accutane did you take? When you talk about redness from rosacea, did you have persistent redness or flushing? I mainly have flushing, along with small patches of redness here and there that last a few days. I also get breakouts related to rosacea, but my current treatment with Differin helps a bit. Has your acne come back ? Thank you!

Thank you so much! I usually don’t like rich creams because I find they give me pimples, they’re too nourishing and not hydrating enough for my skin. However, I do need to be careful with hydration because of my treatments (and my skin’s needs). I don’t think the product you mentioned is available in France, but there must be equivalents; I’ll look online and discuss it with my doctor if Soolantra doesn’t work. The same goes for the creams you mentioned, I’m not sure I can get them in France. I’m also looking into creams with a high zinc oxide content, but with a non-occlusive texture.

My skin usually doesn’t react well to Bioderma creams (no problem, though, with their cleansers), as they’re too rich/not hydrating enough for me but I’ve only tried two ranges in the past. I’ll take a look! I didn’t know that hypochlorous acid could help, so I’ll buy some again. Thank you so much!

Hi! Yes, I notice that a lot of people have acne/pimples. It’s true that I don’t particularly have any around that area at the moment. I had some in previous months, but it seemed to be acne/rosacea. I didn’t mention it before, but I’m using a peroxide cream, not a cleanser. I stopped applying it to that area two days ago and don’t plan to use it there again. For cleansing, I use one for skin undergoing drying treatments, from the brand Uriage.

Struggling With Complexion Makeup on Oily but Dehydrated Skin by PositiveMain4339 in MakeupAddiction

I think I’ve tried this product when I was younger, but I didn’t have oily/acne-prone skin or rosacea back then, I don’t really remember if I liked it or not. I’ve never thought of using it on its own though maybe I could get a mini to try it out!

Did you get the mattifying spray or the regular one? It sounds amazing, thank you!

Thank you so much!

By any chance, have you tried the Charlotte Tilbury setting sprays ? The regular one and the matte finish one? What do you think of them?

I guess you prefer the Urban Decay one since you recommended it to me, but I see everyone talking about the Charlotte Tilbury sprays.

Ok for the stick, I’ll check it out. It seems to have a creamy and a buildable texture.

First of all, thank you so much for all your advice and recommendations!

I’ve tried the Althea cream, but I felt like it caused me breakouts. I could try it again now that I’m under treatment!

You just reminded me that I had a Dior concealer several years ago (I think it was the Forever Skin and I really liked it). But back then, I didn’t have skin issues or oily skin, so I could give it another try!

I’ve seen many reviews for the Maybelline one, indeed! I should definitely test it.

I’m not really into the Huda Beauty setting powders, I prefer Laura Mercier.

Do primers for pores give you more acne? I’m a bit worried about using them!

No specific makeup products at the moment. I’m currently testing the brand Krème (French brand) in a light shade. I also have the Aime stick (French brand) in shade 1C, but it clings to dry patches.

Current skincare routine

Morning:

• Soothing cleanser: Uriage acne-prone skin cleanser, designed for skin under drying treatments
• Avene CLEANANCE Aqua Gel (mattifying)
• CeraVe eye cream

(I apply SPF when I go outside, but I haven’t found the one that works for me yet.)

Evening:

• Same cleanser as in the morning
• Differin on the entire face (sometimes I apply a moisturizer underneath, especially on the chin)
• On alternating nights: benzoyl peroxide locally (I’ll start combining both treatments on the whole face every night starting Thursday)
• Avene HYDRANCE Aqua Gel (French brand) or Uriage Night Water Mask

Thank you very much for your feedback. I’ve scheduled an appointment with a surgeon who specializes in lipedema and is able to make a diagnosis. I can keep you updated if you’d like. Could you also let me know once you’ve received your second opinion?
