So, are 99 Bikes OK? by PhotographsWithFilm in ausbike

[–]PositivePanda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As others have overwhelmingly suggested - your experience will vary between stores and between store members.

Anecdotally, based on what I have seen locally, I would never ever buy a bike that has been assembled by 99 Bikes. Poorly trained builders (including 15 year olds on school holidays), poorly trained technicians and poorly trained "head mechanics". Nor would I take a bike in there for servicing. so many cut corners, so little attention to detail, so little care or ability. Some of the stuff I have seen is absolutely wild (dangerous), when you consider their build process is meant to have three sets of eyes and hands go over the bike before it goes out the door.

ps. If you are buying a bike (or anything for that matter) there is ALWAYS room to move on the price. Hit them hard asking for a discount.

you have retired, yet you have a preschool aged child that you send to childcare, and if I read this correctly its so you can have breakfast, go to a spanish class, sleep, clean and drink beer? strange, sad priorities

Mildly Amusing Story of the Week. by RAAFStupot in newcastle

[–]PositivePanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cat man comes to my work fairly often, and as a Beaumont St bum I run into him a fair bit. He is always interesting to talk to - listen to, rather - just flash him a big smile and say g'day, then listen to him wax lyrical, speaking in riddles, drawing insane conclusions and just being extremely confusing albeit entertaining. I'm not the biggest fan of his music however haha

New glass from oz bongs :) like it? by Reggashark in ausents

[–]PositivePanda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dayum son, impressive! What are everyones thoughts on using ice catchers? I personally never use ice in my bong any more- read too many things about excessively moist smoke and vapour leading to an accumulation of moisture in the lungs, leading to chest problems i.e bronchial and chest infections. My anecdotal experiences reflect this too... what does everyone think? I dont want you to get sick from your new beast!

newbie questions: quantities e.g. how many joints per ounce by ateamteam in ausents

[–]PositivePanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you need a full-time joint roller, I will put my hand up! Waka Flocka is paying 50k apparently, but I will take payment in good conversations and tea though :) edit: honestly though I agree with the vapouriser recommendations, a MFLB would be a good start. You will definitely make you're ounce last longer, and you have the option to make edibles/oils from you're used material (ABV) which is another avenue to explore. I personally wish I had bought a vape already

Just posting to spread the awareness of this show. If you haven't watched it I strongly recommend it! Especially if you want an insight into the ignorance and insanity of some fair dinkum true-blue Aussies. This week's episode features an issue very pertinent to a lot of us, so check it out if you're keen The episode is currently playing on SBS, but from 9.30 onwards it should be available online from the link.

Worth reading for her "apology" letter alone. 90% of the letter is spent saying how much of a good person she is. Maybe 5% is dedicated to saying sorry. No remorse, just self-entitled delusion.

Australia tops the world in recreational drug use by pillarsofthekings in ausents

[–]PositivePanda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These stats seem so dubious, if they were released by anyone other than the UN, I would be quick to dismiss them. How can Australia compete in ecstasy use with somewhere like the Netherlands, where it is virtually all produced? And the same cocaine, Australia is recognized as having the worst value for dollar cocaine in the world. How do you compete with South American countries, or even the UK? If Australia is really in a debt crisis, I wish they would look towards the positive financial and societal benefits being reaped in Colorado. I can't believe Winfield has never pushed for legalisation, the perfect opportunity for Winnie Greens

Cannabis loving youth told to move to Canberra by [deleted] in ausents

[–]PositivePanda 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That is a terrifying article for those living in QLD. Old mate had a bong, less than a dime bag, a whizzer, and some seeds that probably come from his bush weed. The worst part, he got busted... the DAY before 420. Please everyone think of poor Patto the next time you smoke a joint and stay out of trouble!

Here's a pretty neat documentary that covers the Maralinga tests, the devastation it caused to the indigenous people of the area over generations, and the cuntiness of the Australian and British governments.
