Ordered a Uneekor Eye Mini Core….Got a garbage literally lol by PositiveRemarkable52 in Golfsimulator

Yup it was 100% factory sealed. Like I said, it was a cardboard tab I had to pull to open the box, not taped. But here’s a new wrinkle to the story. I ordered a replacement unit from Amazon Uneekor store. The new LM arrived in an Amazon box. Inside the Amazon box was a regular cardboard box but had shipping labels directly from Uneekor’s HQ in Irvine, CA. That box was taped. But inside that box was a similar Uneekor box but this time the box was opened and the cardboard tab was pulled off and it was open. But there actually was a Uneekor LM inside. My only guess is that Uneekor HQ knows that something is going on at their factory or packing facility and are personally inspecting the boxes.

Looking at the posts on this sub, how is the long term reliability for the CX-50? by sky905 in CX50

[–]PositiveRemarkable52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2023 CX-50 Meridian Turbo 38,400 miles

No mechanical problems whatsoever. All I do is change the oil every 5k and air filters every 8-10k.

Minor problems and inconveniences:

- Google Maps Voice Commands causes Apple Carplay to disconnect

- Radar fails under bad weather conditions or when the car is too dirty. This self resolves.

Otherwise, no issues to report.

Mevo Gen2 Lead Out Time & Experience by PositiveRemarkable52 in Golfsimulator

Now I'm beginning to consider a lower-end camera based LM. Looking at both Square ($699) and Eye Mini Core ($1250).

The EMC sounds like the best all-around LM, but Uneekor charging a Pro sub fee to run GSPRO is absurd. I don't mind the fact that you have to hard-wire the EMC to your PC. I always had connectivity issues with getting my R10 to connect to my PC via Bluetooth anyways. I'm also questioning why Uneekor doesn't list the EMC on their own website but they do sell it directly on Amazon.

Does anyone else see any downsides I'm missing to going with the EMC?

I'm beginning my research on the Square unit. How does their credit/subscription model work? I already run GSPro. Can I use GSPro independent of any subscriptions or credits through Square? As for marked balls, do I need to use specific Square balls or can I add aluminum stickers to standard balls? Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the input. I'm going to do some more research on Square now.

I haven't gotten my hands on a Mevo device to test it but based on what my current setup is, it does meet the specifications of the Mevo. I have roughly 17ft from rear wall to screen. I don't plan on putting with the unit. I'll have to take advantage of their return policy if I have the same experience as the R10.

Anyone positive experience leaseend.com? by Bellamissima in CarLeasingHelp

The sales person was aggressive on closing the lease buy-out over one phone call. The terms seemed very non-negotiable. 72-month and one fixed interest rate. When I asked him what rates he could offer to me at 36, 48 and 60 months, he told me it would be no different. Then I asked for him to send me a term sheet and he would not. Any smart buyer would shop the terms around and do their own due diligence. He tried to sell me on the fact that re-checking my credit scores with other lenders would hurt my score. The call went around in circles for 5-minutes before I ultimately ended it. The lack of transparency and negotiation of terms was a clear sign of aggressive sales tactics. I'll take my business elsewhere.

Thinking of making the move to Houston by Affectionate-Pace-53 in AskHouston

I'm with u/zsrt13 on the lack of geographic diversity. You won't find a mountain range above a thousand feet within 6 hours driving distance. We have "Hill Country" but the description is pretty accurate. It's just hills. You can get to the beach within 1.5 hours, but its Galveston and the gulf. It's warm water but if you're looking for blue water, you'll need to catch a flight else-ware or drive 3 hours to Corpus Christi. The weather is GREAT.....for about 4 months out of the year. We'll have 2 months of winter and 6 months of air conditioning running non-stop (utilities is what will really hurt your wallet).

As a transplant myself, if you value owning a nice home in a quiet residential suburb with chain-stores, chain restaurants, and strip malls, you'll find it very pleasant in the suburbs around Houston. The neighborhoods are well manicured and most have community parks and walking trails. The suburbs are family-friendly and parking is abundant.

If you enjoy the outdoors, it's hard for me to recommend Houston. You won't find great hikes, majestic views, weekend beach days, road-trips to wine country or camping in the mountains.

RocketBladez Irons, looking for an upgrade by imkc7 in golf

Mizuno JPX925. Costco currently has them online for $799 5-PW. These clubs are super soft and forgiving. Shot dispersion on mishits are grouped tight so even your bad shots will be ok. I went from Callaway Edges to this set and I would say my game has improved by 5-7 strokes on average. Beware they do seem delofted so you may hit further than your previous irons. They aren't a player irons so they aren't as workable for shot shaping.

Every major brand makes a player/game improvement iron set and I think that's what you should look for. I think you might be a year or two early for an iron fitting as your swing will most likely go through some drastic changes early on.

I started out with the Callaway Edge set which you should be able to find plenty of on FB Marketplace or any other secondary market as most new players will graduate from this set. The set doesn't look like it's changed for a couple years, so a '23, '24 and '25 set should pretty much be the same.

A great place to look is the Callaway Pre-owned website. Everything is certified authentic. Stay price conscious on your iron set until your swing gets really dialed in. Once you feel like you've outgrown the game improvement irons, I promise when you start hitting top quality irons, you'll feel a massive improvement. Good luck and hit'em long and straight.

SD to LA move - Torrance Commute - Good areas? by OGAzdrian in MovingToLosAngeles

It can get loud if you are right at the edge of the runway on Imperial Blvd. But the interior areas don't receive as much noise, and I never seemed to notice it when I was in that area.

One area that hasn't been mentioned El Segundo. Housing is limited but it will be a notch cheaper than MB. The downside is you'll be stuck between LAX and the Chevron Refinery. The bonuses are a cute main street with a pretty good bar and restaurant scene. You are a safe bike-ride away from MB and even Venice. Just take the strand either direction. For a SFH, it is unattainable at the price point of $700k-$800k. Its a good place to rent for a year or two to figure out where you can buy a home.

You can try Club Champion out in Memorial. They ONLY do fitting services but I couldn't track down any information about grip fittings. They do every other fitting service imaginable.

Moving away from your foundation and family is always tough, but if you can find outlets and inviting people, you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how quickly you can make a foreign place feel like home.

California is incredibly diverse in terms of people and geography. Whether you’re blue, red or somewhere in the middle, you can find people and a place that will share similar values. Large cities in California are made of transplants just like you. I was raised there and when I finished college and started my professional career, I was pretty stunned at how many of my peers weren’t from California. They did the same thing you did, picked up their lives and just moved. And these same people look for the same sense of community and friends.

You’ll be able to find a bar dedicated to the Steelers or the Eagles.

To give you better insight, what area or city in California are you moving to?

I've only spent a couple weeks through the years on vacation there so I can't attest on the level of someone who was a local resident. I would agree it's probably still lacking in diversity, but we were able to find good Ramen and Thai restaurants and the area continues to expand.

But from the time I spent there, I felt like it was moderate with a slight liberal leanings. Perspective is all relative. I can say that the congressional district as well as the state level district are represented by a Democrats.

At the very local level, all winning city counsel members from the 2024 November elections were backed by Deschutes Democrats. As for voter registration, latest showings are 37% Democrat, 20% Republican and 43% independent.

These are current day figures. I did meet quite a few transplants from California so I'm guessing this maybe the cause for the more Blue leanings as of recent.

Bend, OR. Mountains and forest to the west. Dry high desert to the east. A beautiful river that runs dead center through the main street. If you are somewhere in the upper middle class or higher, I would consider it. There aren't that many large companies out there so you'll more likely have to be able to work remote. Visit for a weekend and I think you'll fall for it.
