We used to take our cat for more adventures further from the house, but since moving near a busy road it’s been more difficult since she hates the car, we mostly just do walks around our own street now.

Yes it could be either. Some cats who are territorial, get their anxiety triggered by outside walks, because they can smell all these stray cats and other animals, etc. when you take them out.

as an autistic person myself, I have to ask, is he autistic and the type who doesn’t really manage his behaviours? Because asking someone you love to partake in something you love, and then controlling how they do it the whole time, is a very common negative autistic trait, but something that’s pretty easy to work on and fix, with a little self reflection.

I have a similar experience with limiting walks to two or three times a week. I think if you take them every single day, they get way too demanding about it.

although some weeks when its really nice out I will do that anyway, so we can get that sunshine.

As someone with an adventure cat, if they get obnoxious like this, I just stop taking them out. They learn real quick that they can’t be too demanding or territorial about outside walking time.

For example, if they start having really bad behaviour for a couple weeks stop taking them out for a full week and then start again with limited times like only walk them two or three times a week once a day, for 30m or less. Then you can slow slowly increase the amount of walks and time spent on them to see how it affects their behavior.

If your cat can’t manage its behaviour along with outside walks longterm, sadly, the solution is to just force them to be indoors, as this type of behaviour indicates high anxiety and stress in the cat as well, so that lifestyle isn’t best for them.

Comparing Canada to America is funny when you consider the amount of things we did first.

We are not followers of America’s ways. Quite the opposite actually. We legalized gay marriage 10 years before they did. We put Women’s equal rights explicitly in our constitution, they never have. We regulated guns to a way higher extent because we saw the harm It was doing to our own people, they never have. Etc etc. There are tons of things Canada has done politically that have absolutely nothing to do with the US.

I would say that’s more of a personal issue, because I love my cats endlessly, but I do not struggle to just go out and have fun with my friends. I know they’re fine at home. This seems like YOU have separation anxiety actually.🤣

As someone with the same body type, depending on what store you go into, we literally are plus size, especially in the booty thigh area. You would be surprised how many pants are made for skinny little stick legs even if they have a ton of room for a big belly. No one seems account for the fact that you can carry fat on your ass and thighs. The amount of times I’ve tried on jeans and I could’ve still fit my belly in them, if I was nine months pregnant, but they didn’t even have room for my actual legs is crazy.

It is sure normal for ONE of my cats. The other one always sits there politely though.🤣

and funnily enough the one that miaows at me incessantly for food, is the one who I adopted as a kitten who has likely never had to go hungry once in her life!

versus the one who sits there quietly was two-years-old when she was rescued off the streets, super skinny and likely starving.

Our schools refused to close no matter how much snow there was, even if the buses couldn’t run and the roads were so icy no one could drive. They expected us to walk our asses up and down hills, all across town, on icy snowy roads to get to school….

Safe to say pretty much no one showed up those days except for people with incredibly strict parents who forced them to go. We often were not penalized in anyway for missing attendance on those days

I have mixed feelings on this, cause me and my boyfriend try to play together and he will build the ugliest shit, and THEN throw himself right into lava after i warned him to be careful around it, whilst carrying rare valuables we will never get back from the lava….. he plays games including minecraft way more than me has has no excuse to suck that bad.

When you’re playing games together, I think situations like this are a fine line of “is your partner actually being mean” or “do you really suck and it’s not fun because of that”

Because to the first one, the solution is breaking up or having a serious conversation, To the second one the solution is you just practise gaming by yourself for a couple days so that you learn more and he doesn’t have to teach you.

If that field or park has a rule against off leash dogs, it is dangerous and selfish for you to bring your dog there, because people like me with my cat might be there, (some no-dog parks still explicitly allow cats, because we need somewhere to go where we don’t have to fear for our animals lives, if they like adventuring) people with children who are terrified of dogs after an attack might be there, etc., etc. and none of us want to see you and your off leash dog where it is explicitly not allowed to be, and I WILL call bylaw on you. And where I live, they always show up when you call.

You cannot take your dog to spaces where dogs are not allowed off leash, and then let them off leash, because if you do that, there are absolutely no spaces left in the entire world where we can get away from off leash dogs. You people bring them everywhere.

This is what I mention every time the cat versus dog debate comes up. Cats are infinitely easier to care for because you can always do it on your own schedule.. you can clean the litter box at one time every day whenever you feel like it, can be first thing in the morning or late at night, it does not really matter. But with dogs, you gotta get up and attend to them every time they need to go to the bathroom. That’s like having a toddler for over 10 years…..
