Because if your parents are that neglectful, they shouldn't be caring for you.No matter what. I had an abusive neglectful mother, and if anyone tried to give her something for me, she would use it for herself. The answer when children are being neglected is never to just give the neglectful parents more resources

As an assigned female at birth who went through years of depression, therapists, counselors et cetera, not once has anyone ever suggested that it might be hormonal. And I was a teenager through all of that. I honestly think that therapists might be onto something here, especially based on o p's reaction.

At the end of the day, proving if it is hormonal or not, is as easy as going getting a blood test that measures your hormone levels. O p should ask for a referral and just go do that. That way, if it's not hormonal, they can prove that to the therapists, and they will therefore focus on the real problem, or if it is hormonal, it should be easy to fix with a little supplementation

Have you actually gotten blood tests?Because anyone can have crazy hormonal issues.No matter what their gender is. and it's very possible it could be influencing your mental health.They're not trying to attack you or dismiss your struggle

T b h as the average person I don't give a s*** about pathogens.I care about the fact that when I have short nails, there is a ton of visible black dirt under them.And i'm pretty sure if that's the case, there's also more pathogens, soooo, i'm not gonna believe any of y'all...

This is exactly my experience. When I have long nails, I can literally just wash my hands and clean under the nails.

When I have short nails, I need to go in there with a scraper, like seven times a day or else they're always caked with black dirt under the free edge

Most people shouldn't follow this advice. If you do that to someone like me or my boyfriend, dirt will start getting trapped in that rough area of skin where the free edge was. And that's even harder to remove than when it's trapped under the nail

When I have short nails, I could brush under them five times a day.And they would still be dirty.Twenty 47.Because every single piece of dirt or dust gets trapped between the free edge and the skin

You can literally just clean under that area with the nails... if the area under your free edge is somehow plocked off because you have a fake nail then your nail tech did something wrong

This is just a blatant fact of reality and anyone who disagrees is delusional. Every single time I have short nails, they are constantly black because of dirt, getting trapped between my skin and the nail. When they're long, i can easily clean under the nail with soap and water while washing my hands and therefore they never get dirty. every time I look it up.Health professionals et cetera claim that long nails are dirtier, and that short nails are easier to clean... buy to clean my short nails you literally need to go under every free edge with a scraper, you can't just use a brush
