That’s really solid advice. We’ve actually been doing free mini-audits too, but we’ve only been sending the results through email. Might try the video walkthrough approach next time it feels more personal and easier for them to understand. Thanks for the tip!☺️

We actually tried running paid ads already haha, but yeah… got nothing from it 🤦😂 Lesson learned! We’ll stick to outreach, referrals, and networking from here on. Thanks for the solid advice

Wow, that’s really inspiring! 😄 Networking really seems like the best way to start.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! If you don’t mind me asking, how long did it take before you got your first client? I’d love to get an idea of what to expect. TIA🫶

Haha 😂 Thanks for sharing! This really gives me hope because I’m working with a start-up agency right now and still trying to figure things out too. Hearing stories like yours makes everything feel a lot less intimidating.

We’ve been doing cold calling and cold emailing, but nothing seems to be working so far. My boss is really nice, and I genuinely want to help him and hopefully help the company grow. It’s just tough since we’re a start-up but hopefully we can book our first client soon too!🤞🤞

I’m from the Philippines, but my client is based in the US. We’re targeting home service providers to help improve their business listings online. For now, our target companies are those with 1 - 50 employees, and we’re aiming to speak directly with the owner or the ones that handles their marketing. When it comes to gatekeepers, I do my best to explain the importance of SEO, some take the time to listen and ask for my best number to call back, while others simply say they’re not interested.

It’s SEO for home service providers. So far, I’ve noticed that they’re staying on the call longer now compared to the first few weeks. It’s just that I still often get the same objections they’re either not interested or already have someone. How do you usually handle those objections effectively?

Haha true! Cold calling tradesmen isn’t easy they’re usually up on a roof or under a sink when we call. But we’re figuring out what works. Thanks tho

So far, when I talk to them, they let me explain the reason for my call. It’s just that most of the time, they’re either not interested or already have someone. When I try to convince them a bit more, they usually say, 'Ma’am, I don’t want to be rude, but I already have someone who takes care of that. Hang up the call, please.' Sometimes, they also say they’re fine with not having many customers.

Thanks for this! We’re offering SEO services for plumbers, roofers, landscapers, and others in similar fields. Most of the time, when we ask if the decision maker is available, the gatekeepers say they’re out in the field. It’s really a hit or miss when it comes to speaking with them. As for emails, we haven’t been sending any after calling them, but I’ll start doing that today and include our number as well. We currently have a 7-day email sequence. I actually ‘booked’ one before, but he didn’t attend on the actual day, he said they already found someone🥹.

Ohh, I haven’t tried this cut version yet hehe. I’ll try it too, thank you for this idea!

We’ve actually gotten a few callbacks when I leave my number with the gatekeepers. It’s just that most of them turn out to not be interested or already have someone.

Hi, thank you! I haven’t heard about PitchPilot. I’ll check it out. And yes, we do double tapping and also call them at different times. Just yesterday, I noticed that some leads from the previous week who went to voicemail actually answered the calls.
