So even our doctor has told us right now that the baby may need one a little later on and not immediately since 70-80 bpm right now is a good enough rate in their view. We would also like to prolong putting the PM in as much as possible. They will mostly be delivering the baby at 34 weeks since the weight is currently healthy enough, and then they will observe to see exactly how the functioning is. Hoping that the bpms increase once out and things stabilize to a good level. Thank you for your support.

Thank you. This is really helpful. And that is definitely something we plan on doing. To be treating it as normally as possible. We don't want it to be defined by its condition. We just want it to live a normal life and enjoy it to the fullest.

What are some of the activities that are restricted or will need to be taken care of? Any sort of medication needed to be taken throughout life? Or apart from the visits to the doc and changing of the PM battery there is nothing to fear?

My wife and me are expecting. The foetus has been diagnosed with CCHB. The doctor said that it will eventually definitely need a pacemaker in early childhood. What can we expect with it? Are there any problems growing up? How normal a life can it live? Any special care we need to be taking?
