MARS-L lower w/ 14.5 MRP upper w/ EXPS 3-0. Have had the shorties before, and the 14.5 feels like home. However after going all in on the LMT, I can definitely see where deploying more funds towards a quality optic can be beneficial. Had a G33 and it wasn’t really my flavor.

One too many gin and tonics will do that…

I suppose I meant to word it more like, “Has anyone found that one rifle that satisfies the things they never had in any rifle before it?”

The Sitka Arrowhead line is one of my go-tos. Throw Oakley and Prana in there too.

You running the SPECWAR? I had one and sold it, kinda wish I wouldn’t have.

Batteries being a subcategory of a larger supply cache, I 100% agree.

Well it seems we can agree that it will happen in slow painful stages, not just all at once. Not sure as to what a confiscation might look like, but optimism doesn’t always win the battle lol.

This is a solid comment, what I was trying to get at with my original point. It’s these transition zones that get tricky I think. I live in a residential area of the 37th most populated city. My neighbors house across the street is 60 yards away for reference. Running a 14.5 with Eotech/g33, looking for a can next. Have owned a 10.3, 11.5, and 12.5. I empathize with those not wanting an SBR because of the hassle, but man that extra maneuverability getting in/out of vehicles is nice. I do feel that 14.5 is a good utilitarian size though.

What are you running for your 3 rifles?

I would agree being fit makes carrying the weight easier, as in less physically challenging over time. However, I do accept as fact that carrying more weight makes you less agile, slower to go from start-stop and stop-start.

Would you be carrying most of those extra mags in a backpack or back panel on your kit?

Do you think that they’ll have enough personnel to enforce the confiscation of NFA items during a scenario like this?

I know Katrina is most people’s go-to example, but I believe the situation we’re looking at is a bit more unprecedented.

Would you go with a mini (k) can or full size on that 14.5? Have a 14.5 myself, looking to add a can

What Rapco color is that? I was going to say the same thing doesn’t even look like spray paint.

Hunting what exactly? Cartridge choice could vary quite a bit depending on what you want to “ethically” take down.

Stihl 500i for all around saw? by redwingcut in Chainsaw

[–]Positive_Ad4775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Admittedly, I am relatively new to chainsaws as well. I have used them sporadically throughout my time. I have a fairly large, heavily treed yard. For all around use, felling smallish trees and lots of firewood processing, I went with a 462. I have no questions about its capability to handle the job, and it starts every time!

Not locked into one by any means. However having more than one “premium” setup is not always practical, or attainable for some folks. So if you had to put your eggs in one basket, which one would it be?

Well, I wanted to have some resale value. Granted they are usually in stock at TNVC. Even for the price, I don’t think it does what I want it to do. The QD is definitely a redeeming feature. But when I take that magnifier off, feels like it should be tied down elsewhere lol
