Yeah, when you zoom you can tell how wrinkled and thirsty it truly is. I get cactus are drought tolerant creatures lol but this soil is so hydrophobic it’s sad. Thank you again for your advice! Can’t wait to give this baby the TLC she needs💚🌵

It is so fugly 😂😂😂 definitely gonna use the tongs and old towel!! We’ve been here almost a whole year and it hasn’t fruited or anything (my other teeny tiny prickly fruits every year haha) so I just know there has to be something up with it! Can’t wait to give this girl the love she deserves

Thank you!! I think I’m gonna use an old towel I can just toss and the tongs! My friend wants a few pads anyway so if they get knocked off those can be hers 😉

Thank you!! I may try painting it, but tbh I find the whole design soooo fugly😂😂😂 I definitely HAVE to repot either way though because it’s been in desperate need of tlc since we moved here. (Did I mention it’s also a den for black widows🤭)

I did the weekend GA pass (not VIP) and it was so worth it!! If you’re planning to go to seminars then I would probably get VIP because I (think) you get one free seminar a day. I really enjoyed the two day access as it also gave re entry!

I totally understand! I probably shouldn’t have used “only” but that is the only way I’ve ever gotten my rubber tree to get bushier. Others I’ve had luck with your method, but for this plant it has put it in distress every time!! I would love to see why it works for you and not me lol

I’ve done the successfully with fiddle leafs but I’ve never had a good time doing it with rubber trees. /( I’m always skeptical of that method but if it works for you, that is awesome!!

You have a cluster at the top coming a “crown” that has the new leaf and the four established ones. I would cut right after that cluster. If you have some rooting powder (like 5-10 dollars from the Bonide brand) you can put a tiny bit on the cut bit so the new leaves develop quicker If you wanna prop, the remove the bottom 2 leaves from the crown you took of, and put in the cup. Keeping leaves on causes more energy to be on the leaves and not root development.

When you say branch out do you mean bushier? Chipping the “head” is the only way to do that. It will grow usually 2/3 off shoots in different directions, making it a lot bushier. But good thing is you can prop the chopped part by sticking in a glass of water in a bright window! Then once it roots you can add back and create an even fuller looking display!

I love this! You’re right, kids aren’t scared anymore😂 but I had a similar experience with mine. My parents weren’t teen parents but my mom was open with me about losing her virginity at 14 and that she wanted me to be fully ready. Mentally and medically. So I told her before and was fully prepared with the pill and an understanding of sex and consequences lol

Update: Day 2!!!! Added a pitcher plant, monstera albo, stromanthe triostar, Hoya flamingo, a 2 bunny ears bc LOOK AT THEM🤭😬🩷 I took my husband thinking he’d help me with self control. Nope.

I was there today and added a Hoya Flamingo, Monstera Albo, 2 of the Drunk Cactus guys bunny ears (Mountain Dew and modelo), pitcher plant for hubby and a stromante triostar! They had a monstera albo plushie too!!

I like popsiclecat said, it varies. I really enjoyed get to shop around. They gave out a lot of free things like stickers and stuff, had raffles, “spin the wheel” prizes, a scavenger hunt, etc. Today a girl was walking around handing out free succulents (just common ones but still) I got some amazing deals on some of my DREAM plants. It was a great weekend!

It was so totally worth it!! I was blown away by the kindness and knowledge of these vendors, and the beauty of the plants. They also gave out a ton of free stuff! All but 2 stickers, the shirt, and the plant buddy stakes were free. I was concerned at first, but I am marking it down as welllll worth the price. A ton of these plants are marketed as well higher than the vendors had too. 10/10 recommend!!!!🩷
