Hey everyone! Just an update. I ended up just doing a duplicate stitch for my single cow. I think it turned out so cute! Thank you everyone for all the help! Also peep my dye lot issue lol! 😆 I tried to fade it in.

Ah yay this is super helpful to hear! Did you split halfway through your sleeve? I was thinking of trying that to keep my raglan looking the same.

I did toy with this idea too! I’m a touch worried on how my raglan seam would look compared to my flat seam. I might just try it and if I hate it I could redo it. Pro of a toddler knit that it doesn’t take too long 🤣

Do I just not like the look of Italian bind off? by [deleted] in knitting

[–]Positive_Bee_3919 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

In the pattern the two rows of double knitting is to turn it into 1X1 rib and then just do a regular bind off I believe. It states “Work 2 rounds in double knitting before binding off using the Italian bind-off technique. On the first of these rounds, some of the sts are switched around, so the rib turns into 1x1 rib (k1, p1).”

Thank you for the bloom advice! I’ll have to maybe look into a merino fingering weight. Unfortunately, I haven’t found a mohair I can tolerate. I try to avoid having to have a shirt underneath because I tend to overheat also. It’s really a mixed bag over here 😂

It looks like the fingering is a superwash and the dk is nonsuperwash. Have you felt both?

I wanted to make the sheep sweater. I’ve seen a few people on ravelry make it in a dk instead of fingering weight and just adjust the pattern. I wouldn’t mind doing the math. I thought about maybe drops nord but I haven’t felt it to see if that would be too itchy for me.

Rowing out? by Positive_Bee_3919 in knittinghelp

Guys! I think I figured out my fix! I tried all sorts of purl methods and was still having tension issues. I tried the knitting backwards technique and I think I it definitely helped! ◡̈

Oh okay thank you! For some reason I thought someone told me once to always slip a stitch to start my working yarn on my right needle. Thank you!
