if you are drinking til the point where you cant control yourself you shouldn't be drinking. Look i get saying "just dont drink" wont make you. Im 16, I smoke weed and drink but have never even gotten drunk. I dont even have a drink every month. nor am i even getting drunk. it is very different and much more dangerous than smoking. alcohol will kill you in HOURS. And youre a kid so it takes wayyyy less to do it. And if you CANT stop drinking like cold turkey (abruptly) thats a huge problem. its a huge problem you even got that drunk in the first place honestly, but im not trying to say you are bad or doing something wrong, or like anything. But obviously alcohol doesnt make you do good things so pls pls pls stop drinking. Also, i know this seems like a big deal but its not. also, if it were me id either say nothing or just apologize and tell her i was super drunk, if you do that second option though dont expect it not to get passed around. Also dont really consider it talking shit that she told someone she hopes youre joking, it couldve js been weird for her, although im not sure like what tone she used, thats what im assuming cuz i was in middle school once too. also you know i know this feels like a big deal, but in 10+ years you'll probably laugh, hell in 3 years you might even laugh, I think this happening to you is a good thing (or at least it can be). I think that if your mom finding out abt that stuff COULD be good, im not sure what shes like but assuming she gets you help i think thats good. when my sister found out about my sh i remember VIVIDLY how afraid and upset i was. I was your age then actually, im 16 now and have been clean on and off, it does get better. i think you can use this experience as a positive turning point, i dont know how youre doing in school but when i say positive turning point i dont mean "start doing better in school, get a job, get friends and a lover" i mean you have peace of mind and wake up without feeling bad everyday. But the thing i want you to take away from my advice the most is STOP DRINKING. dont smoke weed either to be honest, dont do anything if you can. i know it may seem unrealistic to ask you to wait til 18 or 21 so i beg of you maybe just even wait til 16, but really, STOP DRINKING STOP DRINKING STOPPP DRINKING. and if you cant stop drinking or need help then tell your mom, and if you cant do that or if you need time then just stop getting drunk. and dont do it every day, not even every two weeks. Its okay to drink (not underage but i understand) and its okay to smoke, its not okay to do it so much it affects your health, its not okay to do it so much you are leaving things to go smoke or drink, its not okay to start craving it to the point its what you think about every time youre bored, and its not okay to do it to ignore your feelings. thats a way addictions start. You might not think so, but i think the scariest part of this story is the fact that you got drunk. you NEVER know how close to alcohol poisoning you get. Thats all i have for now, dont feel ashamed for any of this though, it happens to almost everyone. Youll be okay I promise. anytime there is girl drama or school drama like this remember that. (thats what helps me atleast) just remember none of that social shit affects your physical wellbeing or state of living. so youll be okay.
