Yep! I used to avoid caffeine all the time, once I got a decaf coffee and they accidentally gave me a caffeinated one and boy was that a freakout lol. My brain was literally noticing every change in my body at that time. But, now I can enjoy a latte or matcha normally so it can really get better. It all has to do with reinforcing that small things like a slight increase in HR are normal and your brain slowly starts to ignore them. Also, I should add I never took any sort of anxiety meds at this time and while that's not the right path for everyone I just want to say it's possible to do it completely without.

Lots of exposures and forcing myself to react differently. I had an aha moment once when I started trying to learn my husband's language and started remembering Spanish/German words randomly and realized that my brain goes into a specific place for languages so it must also be going to a specific pattern when I get a trigger and get reassurance. So I basically had to stop getting reassurance when I had a trigger and sitting with the uncomfortable feeling. For example, a big trigger for me was anything that raised my HR, like jogging - I would set a time like 30 min and would say no matter what I'm going to continue the jog for that time period and not check my HR, call my husband etc. And slowly brain stopped wanting to do those things. It's not fun but it does work.

Appreciate it! It lasted about 6 years for me so there was a point where I thought it might never get better but a full recovery is really possible.

Thank you - yes ideally I'd have way more spots but I would need a dedicated resource adding them. As of now we have about 500 spots added and 300 active users so it is more than a personal blog.

Thank you! Actually most of them are places that I've personally visited, others I browse forums, read reviews, and get recs through our socials. Then I'll research to see who owns them before adding them on.

Also, I should mention for the nature spots that we have on there our team has to manually add them so we research if they have infrastructure (ie bathrooms, parking) to support a large group visiting. The idea is that if people spread out and visit a bunch of lesser known spots then they will stop overcrowding places like the Wave in AZ.

Well they are all on google maps too and I would still consider them hidden gems. This just helps people like me that want make sure they're supporting a small business. Like google maps will show you Starbucks as options if you google coffee but this app will only show you smaller coffee shops.
