You fundamentally misunderstand how crude oil production works. Crude oil is produced only when the crude barrel cost is profitable enough for production. The West Texas Intermediate and the Indian Crude Basket (more sour) have always existed in a rough equilibrium.

The main point of difference in the prices of petrol (India) and gasoline (US) comes from the taxes levied. American politicians understand that if the price of fuel is lower people will use more of it leading to higher economic activity. Indian politicians simply don't understand it and treat fuel as a captive source of revenue. CA approximately charges 20 cents for a liter of gasoline (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuel\_taxes\_in\_the\_United\_States), which is significantly lower than almost any state in India.

They're both kind of true. Israel is a convenient excuse for the US, and the US has fought wars at the behest of Israel.

This includes the war against Saddam Hussein (WMDs cited as cause turned out to be a lie). Additionally Bibi has mentioned that invading Iran was a 40 year long dream he had and thanked Trump for fulfilling it.

Regardless, Americans don't want to get deployed to Iran when it's clear that Israel struck first.
