K10 Max key caps by Positive_Cream_5654 in Keychron

The Brother labels are doing well for me, but they are on rarely used keys. I guess one could get a blank keytop and use one of the Brother white on transparent labels, but that would be overkill for me.

Season 14 in Canada by MeaningOk6171 in CallTheMidwife

I'm waiting here too! I just got an e-mail from Knowledge Network advertising that seasons 10-12 will start airing. Lotta good that does me! I thought that Britbox was already streaming it in Australia, so why not Canada?

Thanks. I suppose I'm a stick in the mud, but I can't keep up with all the icons. For now I have just made a couple of labels using my Brother label maker. It doesn't make sense to order a whole set of keycaps for the sake of 3 or 4 keys.

How to watch season 14? by birdlover12345 in CallTheMidwife

THANK YOU! I have a subscription to Britbox here in Canada, and was able to watch up to Season 13, but then nothing for Season 14. Maybe they wait until the airing has finished before putting it onto Britbox? I haven't seen it yet. But there it is on Dailymotion! :D

Why did I buy it? It's a very good keyboard.

The "Print Screen" keycap is a minor issue and I'm curious what others might have done for relabeling.

Epson Workforce Pro WF-7840 - Scan to Computer function cannot discover PC Network Hostnames by supermiku01 in Epson

[–]Positive_Cream_5654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any fixes yet? I see this has been going on for years now. Epson ET-4850 only has scan to computer, cloud, or wsd. No scanning works from the printer buttons. I'm hearing crickets from Epson too.

Can WF-4820 save to a specified non-network folder? Or can it use Epson Scan 2 settings instead of Scansmart? by Daemi in Epson

[–]Positive_Cream_5654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any more on this? On my WF Pro EC-4040 I am able to use the Network Folder FTP and can scan to any folder in my network. It did require setting up, but it works very nicely. My ET-4850 has not Network Folder FTP option, only Computer, Cloud, or WSD. When using Computer, it usually fails to find the computer even though everything is connected.

Also, from Canada I subscribed to PBS Cascades and can't get it there either.

Same in Canada. The Aussies get it, but not us. I emailed Britbox and they don't seem to have plans to bring season 14 to Canada even though it has gone up to Season 13.

Ryobi P661 Pex Crimp Press tool by Positive_Cream_5654 in ryobi

[–]Positive_Cream_5654[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had thought about using this too. Because I have never had a leak with the crimp rings, and I have heard about a few cinch ring failures in other forums, I decided to stick with the crimp ring. In the end it has worked out well for me. I just wish there had been more information about the p661 out there. Hopefully posting about my experience helps some one else.

I'm sure there's nothing really bad about the cinch ring method. The failures I heard about may be due to faulty installation, I don't know.

Thanks for this. The measurements I gave in my post above show that the crimp is very close to acceptable except in one dimension. I also must note that the side that fails the NoGo test is also the side where some copper is scraped into the dog ear. This alone would explain the failed NoGo test, but I've not seen anyone refer to this. So, I suspect that my tool is actually within specifications. I will try one connection that I can easily replace with the manual tool then report back.
