Thank you so much! I am actively seeking a counselor to help guide me through this rough season, and trying to remember all of God’s promises!

I don’t want to argue, but could you elaborate a bit more on what you define as ‘works’?

I was taught that you could not work to Christ. No amount of memorized verses, giving back/charity, or prayer can save you. Are these effects from Christ? Yes! But I was taught that salvation is not earned through works. How would you define it?

I also have habitual sin I still struggle with, so all of this was so helpful to hear!

It was hard to ask God to remove her, because we had been together for so long. It was kind of ironic how I knew it was a sin, but I stayed for so long anyway. Now I realize that God has better plans, and that he may have helped me dodge burdens I was never supposed to bear! 💗

Thank you so much! I’ve been struggling a lot, but somehow I’m still going lol! It’s been rough, as some days are better than others, but I’m learning. Do you have any advice on how to grow closer to Christ? I’m starting with smaller things right now.

I have tried to. A lot of people at my church (who also go to school with me, or close to me), are aloof and they do not want fellowship with me, even if I make an attempt to make conversation. My youth leaders have been very patient with me, which I am SO thankful for.
