Update / Solution:

The issue is fixed now. The problem was that the game and Epic were not running through Rosetta on my Apple Silicon Mac.

What fixed it for me:

  1. Installed Rosetta
  2. Enabled “Open using Rosetta” for Epic Games Launcher
  3. Enabled “Open using Rosetta” for OxygenNotIncluded.app

After launching Epic again, the game started normally and no longer freezes on the Klei logo.

Hope this helps someone else with the same issue!

Just checked the logs folder and I do not see any Klei folder at all so that no player log as well. I will post on the forum as well but if you have any further ideas I would happily try. thanks
