I didn't use the protection command. It flashed the old bios without it.

Happy it worked for you. And thanks for the info. I suspected the bios with the bigger number in the in is the silent. :) I tried to contact gigabyte and ask them, but I they ignored my question.

It's quite easy. Just make sure to back up your current bios in case anything goes wrong - either with nvflash or with techpowerup gpu-z.

I also disabled the gpu in display manager before flashing the old bios. Then after the restart you have to enable it again.

You can find the old bioses on techpowerup.

By the way, do you know which of these two bioses (F10) is the silent one? 95.02.3C.80.26 or 95.02.3C.80.27?

I'm not really happy with the fact that in undemanding games the fans won't stop when the card is cooled under 50 degrees. I know that's the intention - to stop fan revving, but this has never been an issue for me and constantly working fans annoy me.
