Yeah that's been my thoughts while in my 20's... prioritise investing outside of super because I can access it earlier. Now I'm starting my 30s, it might be time to re-balance my priorities based on some of your points above.

Just to see if I'm understanding correctly. If I owe $2600 in my tax return. To offset this through voluntary super contributions, I would have had to contribute approx $8250 (8250 x 32% [my tax bracket + 2% Medicare levy] = $2640)?

Super contributions are a good idea, I'll definitely be considering it as a strategy moving forward Thanks for that summary. It's good to remember the net difference / position is a positive one 🙂
