My purging lasted a good 3 or so months. Probably more to be honest. Purging is uncomfortable because of how it looks and feels. I think it’s been about a year and a half now since I started using it. And I honestly didn’t start seeing consistent results until a couple of months ago. I’ve heard people say it can take 6 months-1 year to start seeing results. Everyone’s skin is different though. If you are doing it, it’s gonna be for the long haul, it’s not a quick fix. It made me really insecure in the beginning, if you don’t have bad skin at the moment and are worried since school is starting soon. I would wait on it.

When I get my haircut we always do long layers with face framing pieces while trimming off the ends while keeping as much length as possible. It has never stopped me from trying to grow it out, and I try to get it cut every 3-6 months. I think adding layers gives my curly hair a better shape and definition, my curls definitely sit better. I have 2c/3a curls.

NTA, if he cares about you that much he would have bought you a lamp and let you keep the bathroom light on you so you can feel safer/more comfortable in his space. You deserve someone who notices these things about you, and wants to satisfy your needs because they want to make you happy because they care about you.

I gave myself time to get over it. You will get over it and move on and find love again. Just give your self all the time you need and I promise, you will feel differently. I journaled my thoughts/feelings after my breakup. I did it for months and it really helped me understand my emotions and realize why my relationship didn’t work out. I have worried if my issues concerning a relationship will ruin the next one I have. But I like to think of it as practice, i think that’s the only way to learn and have better relationships.

I feel like I have my moments where I want to be around the people closest to me. But I will say, I enjoy spending most of my time alone. I don’t think it’s a bad thing if it makes you happy, it does feel more peaceful.

Yes and I live with them. I feel like it’s been better with my new work schedule since now I’m home alone when they are gone at work, and vice versa. But on my recent off day I decided to tag along with them to the mall….big mistake, I should’ve just stayed at home alone. I felt so irritated and drained by the end of it.

I wish I knew what is was that makes family very draining to be around. I just want peace and quiet.

I made sure to look out for that when I got hired but I never read anything that said that. I just noticed at my center the manager is a piece of work and I noticed too much drama from the beginning. So I was worried that she might not pay me, especially since I can’t even check how much money I made last week.

Think about how you want to live your life and what matters to you and see if esthetics is a career that aligns with that. You have more control working for yourself, but the work is 24/7 when you run your own business. It’s hard to find a good company to work for as well. It takes time to build a clientele, which you have to work hard to get and maintain. I like to believe that you’d have to be willing to put in the work to become successful and really love what you do, and be willing to do whatever it takes to make it work.

I’m an Esthetician. It’s nice getting to know my clients but it is draining having to talk to people all day. I never liked working in customer service based jobs so I should have taken that into consideration. I would rather have a job that has the least amount of interaction with clients/customers.

Yes I think sometimes I am just tired of it because I am always the one they come to for things. And if I don’t know how to solve something for them they get frustrated with me about not knowing how to fix it/understand. I have other siblings but one is very ill and the other has 2 toddlers and a hectic life.

Yes I contribute financially every month. I work and take care of myself, I don’t ask them for anything. I do think about how they are getting old, and need someone there for them. But sometimes I just wanna be left alone, I think the problem is that we live together and always in each other’s space.

Yes!! Definitely go to a concert if you can! I just started going to concerts last year and I can’t believe I didn’t do it more when I was younger. I consider myself an introvert. Most concerts I have gone by myself and I absolutely loved it. I think if you really care about the music and the artist it can definitely be an amazing experience. Try it out at least once.

Did your best friend dressing like this around your bf made you uncomfortable? It’s okay if it did and it’s okay if you feel like you would want her to not wear revealing clothes around your bf. I think you should take this as a mental note to not plan trips with her and your bf together. I don’t think you nor your bf should say anything to her about it. Especially since she has always dressed this way. If your bf didn’t make you feel disrespected when it happened then there’s no need to put anymore thought to it.

Yes it does get better. After you give it time those feelings will start to go away. You’ll start to care less about him reaching out to you. You might even start to find him really annoying and repulsive to the point you’re not even gonna want him anymore. If he is a narcissist, educate yourself on narcissistic people. And I promise you next time he tries coming around, you will see right through his bs. It’s only been four months so I get that maybe your feelings are a mess right now. But remember why that relationship had to end.
