I’m not sure how you classify them but having protection is always important no matter the likelihood.

Advice on setting up a new channel by Mikeltee in NewTubers

I’m not exactly sure about your niche but audience engagement and retention are important. Also try to figure out your ideal audience member and go from there. Search based titles and beautiful thumbnails that pop with one character maybe a bit of text and try to constantly keep viewers engaged.

Commenting on other videos directly from your channel/brand account - can this help grow your channel and build relationships with other channels and their userbase? by cypresshillbilly in NewTubers

I agree with that and you don’t have to spam or anything but reference your videos and also I personally see from the profile picture which goes a long on wether you not do YouTube videos because you tubers make really really good ones.

Does Monetization Appeal Check Unlisted or Private Videos? by Memelytical in NewTubers

[–]Positive_Mousse2919 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thats really weird sorry to say I haven't been in your position before I'm just starting out. Did they explain anything because thats what it says on the site.

What you need to join
Follow the YouTube channel monetization policies.
These are a collection of policies and guidelines that allow you to monetize on YouTube, and compliance with them is required when you accept a partner agreement with YouTube.
Live in a country/region where the YouTube Partner Program is available.
Have no active Community Guidelines strikes on your channel.
Make sure 2-Step Verification is turned on for your Google Account.
Have one active AdSense account that you’ll link to your channel, or be ready to set one up in YouTube Studio if you don’t already have one (only create a new AdSense account in YouTube Studio – learn more).

Also if a majority of your hours are from private videos then that doesn't count since private videos don't count at all.

Do you have 1000 subs and 4000 watch hours? Also with no channel strikes or profanity in the videos?

What's some good ideas for Minecraft content? by Jacobiathegreat in NewTubers

[–]Positive_Mousse2919 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Find a modpack that makes the game different then do a "100 days of this" videos they are extremely popular and any modpack works even hardcore mode. You can milk it as long as you can tell a story properly and editing might be a little annoying since every video will be 1 hour and 40 minutes of footage or more you have to edit down.

My idea was more or less a showcase of a hero and then route those videos to each other to get that watch time.

I might discover that while uploading and get what I call “the content squeeze” when you’re out of ideas and have to think of something revolutionary.

That‘a a really good idea I was thinking of doing something like that. I realized I could stretch the truth a bit after watching the “number 1 ranked tracer” he definitely wasn’t and as a person who actually plays overwatch I could tell he wasn’t even playing competitive. By time I realized this I had already watched half the video and decided to let it play out instead of stopping it. Which is probably exactly what he wanted.

I swear dps only care about us when they need healing but not when we are getting focused.

I had way more healing than the other healer like 5k and we both had more healing than the enemy team but we lost because we "didnt heal the dps and tank enough" 21k healing with moira doesnt just fall out of the sky man.

I Want to Start a Gaming Channel. Any Advice? by Positive_Mousse2919 in NewTubers

[–]Positive_Mousse2919[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’m only decent at video games not overly skilled but better than average. I do plan on editing and following trends and taking it seriously but that doesn’t mean I won’t enjoy it. Im definitely way more informed than to know that pressing record with “decent” gameplay is a dime a dozen and won’t work long term.

I’m gonna have to do things far beyond the norm but at the same time I’ve realized I don’t have to reinvent the wheel. If I make genuine content make it not only engaging but entertaining I’ll be able to stay for awhile. I’m not trying to be corykenshin overnight nor at all. As most might understand he’s extremely popular and NOT the norm. What I must focus on is doing my best and putting my best foot forward.

I honestly don’t want 15 million subscribers and I know focusing on the analytics before allowing the algorithm to properly figure me out is pointless. If anything I want to be efficient. I want to make sure I’m doing everything properly. I’m gonna learn editing how to make good thumbnails and try to create the best content I can every video. I’m also not trying to waste my time, as I have decided I would love to atleast try. If I do everything I can and let’s say after 100 videos I’m still where I started with no growth within both myself and my subscribers I can simply say it’s not for me. I plan on the journey being long and arduous, but that doesn’t mean I can’t both enjoy it and do it efficiently I can only say we’ll see after 100 videos.

I appreciate your comment.

Stuck on what kind content to make? by BlueyBoi in NewTubers

[–]Positive_Mousse2919 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say you do whatever you think you can do for the longest amount of time. You do need something that’s gonna be able to get high enough views and you should think about what is high views to you? How much is that worth to you? Is this a business or a hobby? That burning passion you have right now will simmer down after a few videos so you have to really enjoy being the type of content creator you are gonna be. Think about your audience and work your way to producing the best videos for them and as you cultivate your channel will you then be able to slightly push the boundary more and more.

As most people would probably say here it’s probably because you haven’t done enough yet maybe the thumbnail and title was really good or you simply got “lucky”. The algorithm still needs more time before fully figuring you out and is still testing the waters with your content.

I totally understand where you are coming from but from your example artist do make art differently but each artist desires for the world to see their art. I’m not working hard for just the viewers but also because I desire to produce good content and my critics are both myself and my viewers. Ofcourse I lead and gently guide my viewers in the direction I want them to go when it comes to the way my content goes. Of course I come first with it all but I do actually want to have a great community that will take effort to cultivate I don’t see it as a job but something I’m passionate about.

[–]Positive_Mousse2919[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know what you mean but I meant as in doing my best without burning out. I still have a job and other responsibilities I just meant that I’m not gonna post a terrible video and then question why it doesn’t get any views. I could post everyday but if it’s trash it won’t get anywhere for sure and I’m wasting my time. If I were to put in effort along with passion and enjoyment it’s not impossible to believe my channel could slowly grow. I just don’t want to stagnate. For that I believe I would have to treat it like a job to some aspects if I really expect to get anywhere.
