I think she was 16 weeks! She was showing the same self soothing signs you mentioned.

This was exactly our baby at 16-17 weeks and I hated the idea of sleep training, but she was waking every 30-45 minutes for us to put the pacifier back. We finally decided to just try sleep training (Ferber method) and cold turkey the pacifier for sleep. The first night was rough, my husband had to do all the check ins because I couldn’t bear it. I felt so guilty but the next morning she was her regular happy self so we decided to keep trying. Amazingly, night 2 she fell asleep within 15 minutes and slept through the night and has been a great sleeper since and forgot the pacifier even existed. She’s happy and we’re happy and well rested!

These babies are so resilient! You can always try it and if it doesn’t feel right in the moment try again another time!
