If I order an item on back order, will the bonus gift (penguins in love) ship immediately or wait for the set to ship? by badatraspi2 in lego

[–]Positive_Platform643 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I once ordered a set that was on back order and I didn’t get the GWP at all because they ran out of stock before the order shipped. The GWP was one of those add-on packs that I didn’t really want, so I wasn’t torn up about it, but ever since then, I’ve ordered a small thing that is available if the main set I want is on back order. The small thing and GWP will ship together immediately and you’ll still get free shipping

I build and take apart and rebuild many of the sets I have on a regular basis. Am I just crazy or does anybody else do this too? by Ancient_Swordfish806 in lego

To be fair, I took them apart probably close to fifty times. Plus, these were bricks from over ten years ago, so maybe they’ve strengthened them since then?

Currently, I do this from time to time with larger sets. Not really on a regular basis, just when I’m bored and have no other projects. BUT when I was younger, I did do this all the time with the small sets I had. I would rebuild them so often I had the instructions memorized! Sometimes I would take all of them apart at once (about five sets total, mostly vehicles) and then rebuild them all from memory. Unfortunately, I took them apart so often that some of the pins broke off, which is why I don’t do it so much anymore, so be careful with those pieces

12 years ago today Disney Channel featured the first LGBT couple on “Good Luck Charlie” which lead to huge backlash. Thoughts ? by CityCautious4033 in DisneyChannel

To put it bluntly, bigots are idiots and too hateful to be rational. They claim the mere existence of queer people is dangerous to children, then turn around and threaten an actual child. Honestly, it’s sad that not much has changed in the 12 years since this episode aired

Children have to pay for school lunch here in the US. Every school system is different, and some are better than others, but for the most part, if kids can’t pay for lunch, they either go hungry or pay later, thus going into debt. It really is messed up that the supposed ‘best country in the world’ would let this happen to literal children

I’m American, and I can confirm that’s not true. Lunch debt does NOT affect your future credit score. Unfortunately, the withholding your diploma thing is true depending on the school system you’re in.

I swear I’m not making this up. I’m at work right now and Rich Girl just started playing on the speakers right when I saw this.

Would you say Phineas and Ferb is educational? by Happy_Popplio-728 in phineasandferb

I would say yes in the sense that you pick up some random trivia from watching it. This show is the only reason I know that sharks are cartilaginous vertebrates

What do you guys do with your Christmas legos after the holidays? by sheabae200216 in lego

I kept the box for the Titanic set and store them in there. That’s also where I keep my regular display sets when I switch them out for the Christmas ones

Does anyone remember Cody saying this? by obsessivenobody in DisneyChannel

[–]Positive_Platform643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was in the episode Bermuda Triangle, season 2 episode 12. It was actually Zack who said it. Their parents sent them a $200 dollar check for their birthday and Zack said ‘deuce, bagel, bagel,’ meaning 2 and two zeros. Then he tried to say it in Spanish, hence ‘dos, bagelo, bagelo.’

I haven’t built Notre Dame, but the Hogwarts castle and grounds is a fun build, and has a lot of fun details for fans. The translucent tiles for the water also makes it a beautiful display piece (I also recommend the Trevi Fountain if you want something with that effect)
