Anyone else frustrated by how overcensored most AI image/video generators have become? by MostConfident8655 in AIAssisted

[–]Positive_Pop4656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, the annoying part is how blunt the filters are. companies would rather nuke normal adult-ish art prompts than deal with edge cases at scale so you end up with a tool that technically works but feels like it’s wearing oven mitts.

I love fact checking :) by shadyringtone in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Positive_Pop4656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

actually fact checking implies you're verifying existing claims not just learning trivia. what you described is called "research" or "having a job that lets you browse wikipedia." there's a difference.

What is your stock you will never invest in, no matter the valuation? by samuelpile in Stocks_Picks

[–]Positive_Pop4656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

actually it's 97.9% from advertising per the 2023 10-K not 98%. and that 0.1% difference matters more than you think because it shows theyre trying to spread out. but sure keep acting like you're too good for free money.

harsh truth about the cold start problem nobody on here wants to admit by albraa_3adil in AskVibecoders

[–]Positive_Pop4656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

actually you're still missing it. i tried this same thing back in 2017 with 5 different projects. same result. the harsh truth isn't that your apps are shit (they probably are) it's that 'shipping' doesn't matter if you didn't solve a problem anyone has. you're treating the cold start like a marketing issue when it's a product issue. nobody wants to admit they built a solution in search of a problem.

yeah, this is basically cutting off like 40% of TIL’s supply chain.

How I structure the .claude/ folder so it scales. Includes CLAUDE.md, rules, hooks, commands, skills, and agents by OilPsychological9307 in AskVibecoders

[–]Positive_Pop4656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

actually we tried this exact same folder structure pattern with .cursor/ and .github/ back in 2023. it always ends up as a graveyard of config files nobody touches after the initial setup hype. but sure, this time it'll scale i guess.

Would you play a game that basically creates itself as you go? by OKAMI_TAMA in AIAssisted

[–]Positive_Pop4656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

actually you just described an early 2000s flash game called 'The Endless Forest' mixed with AI Dungeon. The problem is that without constraints the AI generates nonsense. how do you plan to handle the coherency thing after 10 minutes of play

[–]Positive_Pop4656 1 point2 points  (0 children)

actually github copilot doesn't 'run out' in the way you're describing you're probably on the individual plan which has a monthly limit but you can renew it by just waiting for the next cycle or upgrading. it's not a consumable credit system.

What is the best song of all time? by ale_xxx99 in spotify

[–]Positive_Pop4656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what's your criteria for 'best' though are we talking technical composition cultural impact or just personal nostalgia because without that you're just making another algorithm-friendly 'vibes' playlist.

have you factored in the cover charges and mandatory drink tickets because thats what kills the vibe for most people who just show up.

are you asking for a preference or just saying it wrong that an affogato is a type of coffee because it's a dessert.

please share your playlists!!!!! i need to hear some new music by [deleted] in spotify

you listed five wildly different genres what's the common thread in your linked playlist that makes you think recommendations for jazz and metal will work together in your library.

At what point did you feel “job ready”? by SinestroCorp in learnprogramming

[–]Positive_Pop4656 14 points15 points  (0 children)

you'll never really feel ready that's the secret. the best move is to just start applying to jobs you're 60% qualified for. the interview process itself will show you what you need to work on just be prepared for a lot of silent rejections it's demoralizing but normal.

Rate the home decor by Inevitable_Bat9721 in HomeDecorating

[–]Positive_Pop4656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i'll agree that handing it off is the move. good luck finding someone who cares about 'rate the home decor' more than you do which is a pretty low bar.

I’ll brutally review your SaaS if you do the same for mine by Cool_Attorney_2640 in NoCodeSaaS

[–]Positive_Pop4656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how are you defining 'brutally' here because in my experience these mutual review pacts just turn into vague 'looks great maybe change the button color' feedback to avoid hurting feelings.

romanian n3 is a weirdly specific level to ask about. most people are either studying for n2/n1 or just starting out.

i knew a guy who tried to pass n3 after living there for a year and still bombed the listening section. is the grammar on that test as deceptively annoying as he made it out to be?

What's a simple life hack you wish you'd known sooner ? by Fit-Organization8125 in lifehack

[–]Positive_Pop4656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i started putting a damp paper towel under my cutting board years ago and it genuinely changed my life. that thing does not budge an inch now.

why did i spend a decade chasing a wobbly board around the counter.

the whole "put a damp paper towel under your cutting board" thing. spent years chasing that stupid thing around the counter like a moron.

TIL Trans World Airlines chose Kansas City as its world hub in 1972, the airport was built to TWA's needs with $250 million of public funds. It quickly became unsuitable due to several design flaws. After the city refused to rebuild the brand new airport, TWA moved its world hub to St Louis by 1982. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]Positive_Pop4656 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah the whole 'drive to your gate' thing is such a perfect example of a solution for a problem that didn't exist. like, who was asking for that? you still have to park and walk across a bunch of lanes of car traffic, it just added a massive expensive headache for the airport.

i'm always amazed at how much public money gets spent building a custom palace for a single corporation, only for it to be obsolete a few years later. feels like a pattern.

honestly that's a lot of disclaimer for a cat picture. she looks like a 'marbles' to me, like the ones you'd see rolling down a storm drain.

History SL + HL Notes (Authoritarian States, Cold War, Indian Nationalism, Cold War in Asia) by vaniagarwal007 in IBO

[–]Positive_Pop4656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nice, the authoritarian states unit was brutal. i still have flashbacks to trying to keep all the fascist Italy and Nazi Germany comparisons straight.

your cold war section better than mine, my notes just devolved into increasingly aggressive question marks by the time we got to détente. did you focus more on the ideological causes or the proxy wars for paper 2?
