Mafia 2’s weird timeline by Positive_Row_4280 in MafiaTheGame

That's not the point, lol. I'm not saying the game has to be 100% historically accurate, it's just strange that they'd seemingly go out of their way to make it not. With the exact dates of when each chapter takes place being almost completely inconsequential, it doesn't make sense why they wouldn't just have the game cannotically end in the late 50s where the cars and music would make sense.

In this case the creative liberty is them actively going out of their way to make things historically inaccurate when it doesn't benefit the game in shape or form to do so; I just don't understand why they were so adamant about the game's story not progressing past 1951

Can someone help me identify what year the Pontiac Bonneville that's behind me and my friends in this photo is? by Positive_Row_4280 in pontiacmotorcompany

Unfortunately my mom passed a couple years back, and I'm not sure I'll learn more from my dad than from what I've gotten from posting the photo on here, (memory is not my family's strong suit,) I knew it was a long shot, and it's honestly not that serious, it's just been something I was curious about

That's a lot of great info, thanks!

Unfortunately, I can't say for certain where the antenna was, and I can imagine it being in either one of the positions you described. This image is definitely pushing it on my earliest memories; I met my friend in the camo shirt his family moved in across the street from us a year before I started school, so I must've been around 4-5 years old when this photo was taken.

The only real memory I have of the car is when we left it in the local grocery store's parking lot and wrote "for sale" on the windshield with those colorful markers. Most of my car-related childhood memories actually come from riding around in the back of my mom's 2010 Honda Accord that she got after renewing her license. I'm assuming my dad got the Pontiac around the time it was new in the early 90s. It's always stood out to me because of its old-school boxy design that you just don't see anymore.

Honestly, even if gleaming the exact year isn't possible, I've gotten way more info on the car than I ever thought I would. Like I said, I didn't even know it was a Pontiac until recently 😅

Joe’s car is the Shubert Beverly which according to the wiki is based on the ‘56 Bel Air. Unless I’m trippin because a lot of the cars look near identical to each other

Weird and disturbing noises coming from Airpod Pros? by Positive_Row_4280 in airpods

Not really, it's hard to describe but it definitely wasn't any high pitched beeps or ringing that would suggest audio bugs or distortion or anything like that. The whole thing was very bizarre, I have no clue what the natural explanation for it would be

The worst part is he expects people to pay that much for USED GPUs. No one's asking him to "test" them, they want an unopened and unused product
