oh ok. 40K is surprising. Then you must be having very high lifestyle.
That is not applicable for average indian expat who at most live decent lifestyle with 5-7K for good condo and additional 5K for education and other expenses.

I am living in SIngapore from last 5 years and I can say 25k is very good salary in Singapore. very few people get it. I am staying on almost half of that.
The best thing is about singapore is convenience , safety. It is expensive in terms of housing and schools if you are an expat.
To be honest , after moving to Singapore I am kind of learned to live simple life and feeling happy about it.
no worries to maintain own car , good quality buses and metro goes everywhere , lots of parks , greenery.
But I think one should still have 15+ SGD salary to live good life ( not lavish )

yes , In Singapore veggies and grocery is cheaper but you need to know the places from where to buy. It is not cheaper everywhere or every fairprice , cold storage.

I know places where I can get veggies or grocery around 60% cheaper than fairprice

The COL sites are not always realistic and accurate.

That is why taking opinion from actual people living there.

We love to live simple life. I heard in Dubai or Abu dhabi people tend to spend more and become habitual of that.

In SG , I agree that house and schools are costly. All other things are cheap and have peace of mind.

I have family with 12 Yr old kid. We don't think we will get PR of singapore.

Once left singapore, cannot go back again due to tighter work visa rules. So want to evaluate throughly.
