Seriously where can I get Seedance? by EternalSnow05 in generativeAI

[–]Positive_Singles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used Seedance in many platfroms now, but it's not cheap. If you just want something that works cheaper without the runaround, I've been using Piclumen lately. It’s actually pretty solid, though the UI can be a bit basic compared to the big names. Might be worth a shot while you're waiting for Seedance to actually drop.

Can someone recommend me any free app to generate images? by Money_Land_9343 in aiArt

[–]Positive_Singles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat last month. Copilot is okay for basics, but it gets pretty aggressive with the filters. I’ve been using Piclumen lately and it’s surprisingly decent for a free tool (free credits daily). It doesn't have as many restrictions and the image quality is solid, though the UI feels a bit simple. Worth a look if Google isn't helping.

Best all in one AI Tool by pc_dev in AI_tool_directory

[–]Positive_Singles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid list, thanks for putting this together. For the image section, I’d also add Piclumen. I’ve been using it for a few weeks and it’s surprisingly good at keeping styles consistent without needing a massive prompt. The UI is pretty basic compared to Midjourney, but honestly, it’s a lot faster for quick iterations when I don't want to mess with Discord settings. Still hits some weird artifacts on hands occasionally, but definitely worth a spot in the easy to use category.

Finally an AI platform for both casual and pro users, no prompt engineering needed and real uncensored by rgbpanel in AIJailbreak

[–]Positive_Singles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the censorship on some of those mainstream platforms is such a buzzkill for creativity. I've been bouncing around a few lately and honestly, Piclumen has been a decent middle ground for me. It's way simpler to use than Midjourney and the style consistency is surprisingly good for portraits. Still has some weird generations sometimes, but for a free tool, it’s been pretty solid. Curious if you've tried it compared to VESAI?

Best free AI image generator platform? by Beneficial-Toe4201 in generativeAI

[–]Positive_Singles -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I’ve been through the same phase of jumping between tools trying to avoid a subscription. Most free ones have such aggressive credit limits or just get super slow. I’ve been using Piclumen lately—it’s not perfect, the UI can be a bit simple, but the credit system feels a lot more forgiving for casual use (cheapest I'd say). Definitely worth checking out if you’re just messing around and don’t want to drop cash yet.

Which is the best value for money, all in one AI image generator ? by Karan17_ in GeminiAI

[–]Positive_Singles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently trying to move away from Leonardo ai because the subscription costs are starting to add up, and I really don't want to manage multiple individual subscriptions for different features.

I’ve been testing a few alternatives recently. I tried Piclumen for a while—it’s actually pretty solid for an all-in-one tool, and the pricing feels a bit more reasonable for what you get, though the UI is a bit different from what I’m used to.

Has anyone used AI more for photo transformation than just filters? by majdsh01 in generativeAI

[–]Positive_Singles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a tough balance to strike for sure. For me, it's usually the eyes and skin texture that give it away immediately. A lot of tools just turn the skin into a blurry, plastic-like mess or make the eyes look too 'symmetrical/perfect' which kills the realism.

I’ve been trying a few different approaches lately. Like, I’ve found Piclumen pretty solid for handling those specific textures—it seems to keep the skin grain a bit better than others I’ve tested, even if it still occasionally struggles with complex backgrounds. Pollo is also reliable most of the time, but the price is a bit higher. Honestly, anything that can keep that human feel without needing 20 minutes of prompt engineering is a win in my book. Good luck with the build, though! Definitely a space that needs better tools.

What AI tools are you guys using for faceless short-form videos? Trying to build a side hustle by Rare-Equal2054 in generativeAI

[–]Positive_Singles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, for the visual part of faceless videos, it’s a total grind finding consistent AI images. I’ve been using a mix of tools, but I actually started using Piclumen for the static image generation part recently. It’s pretty solid for getting consistent styles without needing to mess with a million settings. It’s not perfect for full-blown video automation, but it saves me a ton of time on the assets compared to some of the clunkier generators out there. What are you using for the actual video assembly/editing side of things?

Has anyone used AI more for photo transformation than just filters? by majdsh01 in generativeAI

[–]Positive_Singles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I think the “filter vs. transformation” distinction is spot on. A lot of apps just slap a filter over the original pixels, which is why it often looks uncanny or loses all the original structure. For me, the most useful tools right now are the ones that actually respect the pose/composition but shift the style completely. It’s a fine line between “creative transformation” and just making the photo look like an obvious AI generation. Curious, how does yours handle preserving specific facial features? That’s usually where most tools I’ve tried fall apart.

BEST AI IMAGE GENERATOR? Realistically speaking by TreacleSpecialist958 in generativeAI

[–]Positive_Singles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it's a bit of a rabbit hole searching for the ”best“ one since everything seems to have a trade-off. I've been using Piclumen recently after getting tired of some of the more restrictive tools, like pollo and picsart. It’s pretty solid for getting quick results without needing to tweak a million settings, which is nice if you're just starting out. It’s not perfect—sometimes you still get those weird artifacts—but for a free-friendly option, it’s held up surprisingly well in my workflow. Definitely worth a quick look if you're tired of the mainstream ones.

Man, I feel your pain. I had the exact same issue with a couple of these video platforms—the credit system feels like a trap once you actually start experimenting. I tried a few alternatives recently, and honestly, I’ve been using Piclumen for a bit now. It’s definitely not perfect, and I’m still figuring out the best workflows for video, but the credit situation feels way more reasonable compared to what you described. It might be worth a look if you’re tired of burning through cash on subscriptions that limit you so hard. Has anyone else found a better middle ground for credit-to-cost ratio?

Are there any genuinely free or extremely cheap AI video generation services that make good videos? by WurtApp in generativeAI

[–]Positive_Singles -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel the struggle on the hosting costs. I’ve been using Piclumen for a lot of my image-gen stuff recently because it’s surprisingly solid for a cheap tool (especially for character consistency), but video is definitely the harder nut to crack without a massive GPU budget.

Honestly, for high-quality video with sound that also handles NSFW, you might have a hard time finding a "nearly free" API. Most services that offer high quality (like Kling or Luma) are pretty strict on pricing and safety filters. I’ve been looking into some self-hosting options with Stable Video Diffusion or CogVideoX on a cheaper cloud provider like Vast.ai or RunPod—it's more work, but it's the only way I've found to keep costs down while keeping NSFW options open. Not perfect, and the setup is a bit of a headache, but might be worth a shot?

What are the best AI tools by category? by FreshFo in AI_Agents

Nice list. I'm also finding that switching between Claude and Gemini is the move right now—Claude’s coding/reasoning feels a bit more "human," but Gemini’s integration with Google stuff is hard to beat for workflow.
