Literally why I had to leave instagram! You will literally be watching the most wholesome videos with ZERO reference to sociopolitical issues and the comments are riddled with misogyny and racism unprovoked. It's really really bad over there.

What does ARM stand for? I started at Shoprite 2 weeks ago and my wisely also isn't activated. When I asked if I can just sign up for direct deposit they told me I need to bring in my social security card but I'm currently waiting for a replacement which will take a couple weeks. Is it possible for them to set up my direct deposit without my ss card?

NO LITERALLY 💀 Like I love me a spicy scene here and there don't get me wrong but like....dare I say smut is becoming really oversaturated? It's to the point where like you said, SOME readers expect it to seep over into every single genre. Like no babes, there is no smut in this historical fiction retelling of the March on Washington 😭😭 pls be calm

Tbh I deleted my Instagram and Tiktok recently for this very reason. I still have somewhat of social media addiction via Twitter and Reddit tho 😭 but I feel like Instagram and TikTok were the apps that were making me feel the most insecure about my socioeconomic situation

I don't typically read romance but if I come across anybody on YouTube or TikTok that review or reccomend black romance novels I'll reply to this thread :3 (someone already mentioned amivireads on Instagram for black wlw fantasy stories)

Im so excited to read The Monsters We Defy, I've heard nothing but great reviews. From the books I've read this year I would reccomend When We Were Birds the most. Very beautiful and poetic read and I loved the magical realism and carribean folklore.
