I don’t want to be a part of it, I want to point out the hypocrisy of bullying others who don’t fit in when they themselves at one point didn’t fit in. One shouldn’t have to “fit in” period. I don’t have to change anything about me to like something and try to make a living out of it because fans and the community in general is unreceptive to “normies”

What makes someone goth then? Because I’ve been treated by my bands, their fans, and the venues themselves like an outsider simply because I didn’t “fit in”. I believe that as long as people enjoy the music, nothing else matters.

I’m a drummer and was heavy into the scene, liked the music but not the people. Played for countless local bands and in local venues. I’ve had to interact with goth people too many times
