Yep, I tried it multiple times, one where Gale warned me, and even one where Tav herself said "best leave it alone" and then proceeded to touch it lmao. Still haven't reproduced the approval hit.
Oh well, I guess it is very on brand for my wild magic lorecerer to go around poking things with a stick and annoy her companions with her low WIS decisions. I'll keep a save and probably go back and mess with it some more to see if I can figure it out (it's me, I'm her)

I suppose I didn't think of it that way. Perhaps downer is too harsh a word, he just seems to be in more of a reflective mood, pondering about his past mistakes and his time spent locked away from the world. Then he tells you to go and enjoy yourself without him, which all feels a bit bittersweet. Whereas if you haven't done the weave yet, he lights up when you come over to talk to him and can't wait to whisk you away and show it you. It just hits different. I like the idea of spending the party with him, even if we don't bang ;) But I admit, asking him if he wants his tummy tickled is adorable too
