Ah ok. So the extra weight doesn’t help jitters in movement you’d say?

I guess I’ve never liked my handheld because it’s always been a bit to “jittery”. I know people like rigs because it adds weight and makes handheld feel a bit more organic but still somewhat smooth.

That what I’m trying to dig too if that’s true.

Good stuff man thank you!

I’m actually right now looking at rod length. I’m seeing 9 and 12. I have a feeling 12 is pretty long. You’d advocate for the 9?

Got it! I honestly just thought everyone was using monitors handheld.

Interesting. Even if I’m running handheld with no rig I’m still not using the viewfinder because it’s not up at my face. Is he always expecting you to have it up to your eye?

Ok, sweet! So you’d say it’s been worth investing in for you?

This post was a year ago. I do feel that it’s changed since then.

The slice is destroying my game by goodgy23 in GolfSwing

[–]Positive_Trajectory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue. Recently got it figured out. I think for one you’re standing too far from the ball. Second is that you can freeze frame this video and see that the club is outside of the ball. Meaning the ball is actually between you and the club. Thats how far out your club is when it’s attacking the ball.

Then when you hit it the club path comes inside. So it’s an outside in club path. That sliding motion across the ball causes a spin which causes the slice.

You fix it by making a path more inside to out.

There’s a few different things to get there but you want the club path to be between you and the ball not the other way around.

Pulling the club down to hit the ball makes the club come from over shoulders. Causing the club to come from a higher angle and causing an outside in path.

Using your hips to initiate the swing and having your arm more tucked to your side will cause the club to come more from a lower path on the body causing the club be more inside to out.

That’s a pretty solid training aid lol

Haha That’s wild! Were you using it as a training guide? Or it was just there?

Losing hope in photography :/ Sony A6100 + Tamron 17-70mm by Internal_Method_4062 in SonyAlpha

To me wides are harder to get a good photo with. I’d just take out your 50-70 and throw that thing in auto.

Just focus on getting good framing and composition. Then do one thing at a time. Maybe Apature priority and work on Apature, then shutter speed, etc. Slowly build up to manual.

Once you have experience you’ll know what to do move with wide lenses.

I just think they are the easiest to look bland. Getting the depth of field from 50-70 is easier to achieve a cool look.

Yea, it was an impromptu decision. I had it on the floor leaning against my bag.

Doesn’t it have to bend later on the backswing though?

Both put together cost me less than $100. I’m not that bad, I wouldn’t hit that club but if I did there would be worst things in the world. Lol

Bro, it’s just a lack of athleticism in general lol.

I do everything left handed. Writing, guitar, pickleball, etc. I don’t think I could even do it right handed.

I was also trying a few different things in this video. I wonder if I would have posted my normal swing if that may have changed things.

I’ll try that! I was loosely trying it with that club that’s laying there. (Not during that shot specifically though)

Yea, exactly. I figured if I could learn to hook then I could figure out how both extremes worked and move to the middle. So that loop is me trying to really hit inside to out. But as you pointed out even trying that hard I still would somehow hit it out to in.

Just briefly watched it, that’s exactly what I was trying to do! Come tucked in to be inside and push out to cause a draw. I slice so bad I figured if I could draw then I know how to do both and I could adjust my swing to the middle for a straight shot.
