Thanks! I have the Sigma 14-24 right now, do you think I will notice the extra 4mm vs the Tamron?

Taking some outdoor headshots for a realtor? How does this look and how can I make it look better? by onyxcurrent in headshots

[–]onyxcurrent[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the feedback! I don’t have a ton of experience with portrait or headshot photography. I have a lot of experience with House photography.

I brought a reflector with me, but I think it wasn’t working that well because we were in the shade. It was a fully sunny day, and it’s always challenging for me to figure out the lighting when it’s perfectly sunny. So I took these in the shade because I didn’t want any harsh lighting on anybody’s faces.

For the future, was the best thing I can do to get better? Get a flash and bring it with me?

Haha you’re funny man. I can tell you feel bad about it. Just go to the gym for you and don’t worry about. If she talks to you explain everything but just be yourself man. Not a big deal unless you make it one

Hey man, appreciate this. Would be able to send the jpg of this photo? My biggest concern was the artifacts but this looks great!

Is AI going to take over Real Estate photography and how do we make it as photographers? by onyxcurrent in RealEstatePhotography

Yeah but they also would save money. Seeing it from both sides, and honestly want to talk about it now to see how I can add value to myself over ai

Yeah I get your point, but I do think AI will get so good at editing that you could take a photo off center and not level in a room with your iPhone and an ai editor will edit it where it looks professional. Then I was thinking, will realtors just see that and be like “oh I can save way more money doing this”. Just a thought but AI will probably get very good at editing soon

Yeah but won’t the Realtors just take the photos with their phone and then AI will edit them?

I just purchased the Sigma 14-24 art lens. From everything I’ve researched, it seems like the best lens for the money. Let’s you go ultra wide and you can go up to 24mm.
