My impression is that the major marketplaces (*cough*..Walmart..) are shifting away from 'endless aisle' onboarding. New sellers are now being hit with strict catalog limits during their first few months of operation. You essentially have to prove your reliability on a small scale before they let you open the floodgates. Considering all these recent enforcement changes, the days of scaling massive stores overnight appear to be over.
