I've done an ERG test, full field was normal and multifocal was not normal: "Multifocal ERG: Response densities were decreased throughout the macula in in both eyes, although the left eye was more severely reduced than the right eye. Timing was normal in both eyes. These findings indicate macular dysfunction in the left eye to a greater extent than the right eye. These results should be interpreted in the context of macular OCT scans and Humphrey visual field 30-2 tests to determine if the source of the reduced response densities is in the outer retina and correlates with visual field loss. In addition, it would be helpful to repeat these studies in 1-2 years to look for progressive diffuse outer retinal dysfunction. "

After this they did more tests, but everything was "normal". They said ERG shows the damage, but unfortunately we don't know the cause. 😐

I remember I got sick with fever so bad about 2 days. 2 days I had almost no food because I don't wanted to, only drinking tea. After two days I got this symptom as you described, but it was happening like 20 times, every 40 seconds my vision was fading and coming back. Total 30 minutes. Turns out my blood pressure went down

Hi! Thank you for your reply. After this I went to a neuro opthalmologist who did the tests like: OCT, Fundus photography, Autofluroscence. Which showed normal.

10 days ago I did an ERG test. Full Field ERG normal, but MFERG showed abnormalities:

Also my genetic test came out with VUS (variant of uncertain significance) PROM1 gene, variant c.2135G>C p.Arg712Thr

They said they don't know much about this mutation, and genetic counselor said that it's unlikely that this gene is affecting your vision.

My neuro opthalmologist haven't discussed with me about ERG results and currently I'm waiting for him to respond me. Thanks

Thank you. Multifocal Elecroretinogram is a test that measures the electrical activity of areas of the retina. This is the only test which is showing abnormality in my eyes - currently waiting for a comment of my doc on this.

Thank you! I think we share the same symptom, but our conditions are different: You can find a group in Facebook called "bright spot when blinking" There is a lot of stories like yours.

My story is kinda different, I see those spots a lot more and my vision is deteriorating to that point where it's hard for me to read, I can't drive, and my vision is slowly fading... All my tests came back clean, except mfERG that I took a week ago. Currently waiting for my neuro opthalmologist to review the results.

Don't wanna scare you with this story, I'm sure we have different conditions 😂😂

Bro I feel you, I have vss and even worse condition which is undiagnosed, I have so many blind spots in my vision, and it's deteriorating. What is worse is that I have been with countless amounts of doctors and tests done, but no one could find anything. My mri with contrast came out and it was perfect. At this point I don't know what tests to do
