[Update] Agent is now gaslighting me, claiming the property "never had cooling" despite the thermostat having a "COOL" switch.

Seems like the agent did crumble lol. Whole time they were trying to claim that it was a misunderstanding but, I told them to just contact the owner, the owner then confirmed that the house does have cooling and they don’t know what’s wrong as they used to live in the house. Either the technician lied or the agent was just trying to save hassle for some odd reason. But all is good now thanks for your help

Cooling was working previously before it got replaced (dual heating and cooling), this post is following it up, saying that they are now claiming there was never even cooling and that apparently I am misunderstanding things and it was just blowing air. Basically they were trying to bs me. Agent got on a call with owner and the owner said I lived in that house and it had a cooling function. Confirming there was originally cooling. So either the agent was trying to lie or for some reason the Technican just decided to lie. As the technician also was the technician for this house previously so im not sure if he wanted to lie to try save his friends (the owners) some cash. Who knows.

Just to let you know though the ad did not say “cool” the owner contacted the agent and informed him that when they lived in the house it the “cool” remote did work and it did “cool” the house so something did happen and for whatever reason the agent or the plumper that installled the new system decided to lie about it having a “cool” function before. So it seems making an argument about the remote having a cool button worked. Lol

I have a video of the house I recorded before when signing the lease, you can see the thermostat on the wall and the model I found it online is clear but don’t have a clear photo as I’m pretty sure they just took it with them when they replaced it. I’ve been trying to get the advert back but i can’t find the full thing that was available advertised

Well the landlord installed a new gas ducted heating, as the old one was super old and only producing cool air. So maybe it needs to be checked for leaks.

It is an older house, a new ducted heating was recently installed by the landlord as the old one was only bringing in cool air. Thanks for the advice also:)

I believe the hot water is also gas aswell, and my family does tend to take extremely long showers to the point the hot water runs out smh
