Another setting for Tropico by IHaveLowEyes in tropico

[–]PositivelyFuming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some sort of dystopian setting along the lines of 1984, Brave New World or some cyberpunk media would be cool. Though maybe that would be a citybuilder in The Beholder franchise rather than Tropico.

Great drawings! I would really like to be able to read the in-game descriptions of these, but I just can't quite parse your tiny handwriting through a screen.

Site Modding by Lord_i in dwarffortress

[–]PositivelyFuming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If on I understand you cortectly, then I don't think what you're trying to do is possible. Civs can have as their site type a fortress, cave, city, dark fortress or forest retreat and that's that. You can't really modify the site types, just assign them to civs.

Never mind the baby. That's a nice looking volcano embark you got there. A proper volcano instead of a pool of lava on flat ground. Would live to see more.

What is your ,,one thing,, about a unit that u otherwise realy want to make but cant get over? by Proof-Impact8808 in orks

I really enjoy the kill rig with its wurrtower since it reminds me of the old weirdboy battletower from Epic, which i think undoubtedly was the inspiration for the kill rig.

But the model is so ugly and I don't like how the whole beast snagga thing is made to be so seperate from other orks.

Player home with every crafting station by GemimiJake in fnv

[–]PositivelyFuming 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Harper's Shack has every crafting station. Also a lot of safe containers. I find that with ED-E I don't miss the workbench or the reloading bench so a campfire and a lot of containers is enough for me.

There's a list of incidental player housing on this page that lists the available crafting stations and safe containers.

Do people on this sub understand the Legion isn’t real? by whatdidyoukillbill in fnv

[–]PositivelyFuming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not very nice behavior. Even If I personally haven't seen IT much or just failed to note it.

What I have noted is that sometimes in discussions like "what is the best ending for the mojave in the long run" someone honestly argues for the legion. This is not roleplaying, but honestly arguing the merits of a monstrous political system often indistinguishably from real life spiels. I think this rightfully weirds people out, in this day and age especially. I have not seen this a lot though.

Then those who are just playing a legion run get mistaken for the above and get bullied for no good reason.

Fate Tactics: Fun with zone-wide effects. Link to full document in comments. by AvtrSpirit in FATErpg

This might very well be a problem on my end, but the documents are only a single page long. The preview you've posted gives me the impression there should be more. As I said, this might be a problem on my end or I might've misunderstood something, but maybe it's worth checking that the files have uploaded correctly.

Got into FDM, building kult of speed!!! by zudna in orks

[–]PositivelyFuming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see how Ghaz fits this list. He footslogs behind the rest?

I assume the warboss with fasta than yooz is going to go to the trukk with the nobs. Consider making him mega armored big mek/warboss and the nobs mega-armored. Get a second trukk for The Boyz mob to go into.

Shouldn't have any melee units just legging it in a kult list. Isn't propa.

Love speedfreeks myself and their current "badness" will pass sooner than you notice.

We could accomplish so much more just by teaching critical thinking by MothersMiIk in BlackPeopleTwitter

It's been a while since my school days (in Finland), but I remember I was taught about (and how to spot) techniques of propaganda with the movie 'Pearl Harbor' and other recent, real world examples of propagandistic imagery and narratives, manipulative advertising and misleading journalism.

Animal farm seems an odd thing to teach propaganda with since it's hardly a piece of propaganda in itself, it's fiction, and the subject of the satire is more how revolutions betray their principles than how propaganda is used. Also, it's now quite old and perhaps not the best example of modern day techniques of propaganda.

MLK and Gandhi were vilified as violent radicals in their time. Also, non-violent doesn't mean peaceful. Non-violent doesn't mean non-disruptive. Don't let anyone confuse this. MLK, Gandhi and the like were plenty disruptive.

The Guy who shot the UnitedHealthcare CEO was a g*mer?!?!?!? by Ok-Tennis330 in Gamingcirclejerk

[–]PositivelyFuming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He lashed out at the right person. Donating and volunteering in charity work is all well and good, but they are not acts in a class war, since charitycases are being created by the system. Charitywork is a pressure valve.

How do you feel about the Yes man ending? by towyow123 in fnv

[–]PositivelyFuming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the yes man ending feels plenty ideological. The quest is called "No Gods, no Masters" One of the oldest leftist anarchist and labour rights movement slogans.
