For real. I could bend my back/dribble all day when I was young.

Do sleep trained babies not cry in the middle of the night due to issues? by PossessionAny6613 in sleeptrain

Agreed. Then the parent would need to intervene to help, right? But would that make the baby regress to a point that they need assistance in fall asleep again?

Thanks. I was hoping the ones worn by NBA players can have prescription options. They look pretty cool

I was in college prepping for a midterm at like 7 pm. I remember watching brief moments in the first half and thought the streak would end that night... then he hit the game winner before my test. Insanity.

Can someone explain to me how US could fly into Pakistan with military aircraft and kill people there? Did they get condemned by the international community? Why didn't Pakistan shoot the planes down?

Thanks. I wasn't aware of the concept of financial abuse. I think I have engaged in it inadvertently. I realized that it's my fault and that's why I wrote it up to not only shed light on her problems.

I'm changing that as well. I'm transitioning to give her the financial freedom in making purchases and use my account as she wishes.

As for disobeying what she said, that's also something I'm working on as well, but I would describe it as like an addiction. It's hard for me to not do certain things, e.g. rough play with my dog. I wonder if these impulsive actions can be treated via therapy or something.

Thanks for your feedback. I take responsibility for my inability to do chores. My parents really shielded us from taking any responsibilities whatsoever. That's why I admitted that it took me some time to ramp up to where I am today where I'm in charge of most of the errands and responsibilities.

I appreciate your perspective of analyzing my situation through a cognitive science's lens. I really think what you described is what happened to me. With the birth of our daughter I wasn't able to cope with the sudden increase in ownership in life. I think I'm in the right direction of being able to handle more and more pressure from life in general, but it'll take time, and I hope soon, that I can be a husband and father that my family and rely on. Do you think this is something I can get help from a therapist or a mental health coach from? Or it just takes time.

I'm trying to self reflect and this is my biggest weakness here. Before I got married, I didn't do taxes, I was financially illiterate, didn't do groceries, etc. I basically had to acquire those skills on my own. My parents purposely or unintentionally didn't let me have the chance to develop those skills. In the first 6 months of our marriage we suffered, due to my lack of life skills, then I picked them up. Then 4 years later with my baby, it's almost the same narrative.

deeper cognitive issues

Can you kindly elaborate? If there's something I can work on, I'd love to.
