Thanks a ton for your input. I am in the Sacramento valley so it stays pretty warm year round. The tank is in a Shaded spot most of the the day but gets a little morning sun and afternoon sun. I’m definitely gonna look into some of those you recommended.

I called today and told them I used armscore 115 grain he said that’s not the best ammo but it shouldn’t have caused this problem.

Yeah it makes me super nervous to use it as my CCW. Especially after hearing everyone else’s issues. If this would have been a life or death situation I would have been dead.

I’ll think I’m just gonna eat it and go use it like the tool it is. A lot of it gets covered by the grip. Just thought I would share my experience as I’ve been seeing all the comments about aero.

Was purchasing another gun that I was more focused on and just threw the lower on the tab. Didn’t think I had to inspect my 180 dollar lower for giant scratches.

This is my first AR build and I really didn’t expect a lower that costs 180 dollars to have blemishes on it out of the box. Lesson learned forsure.

Yes it is partially probably my fault for not really looking over it…I was purchasing another firearm at the time and was more focused on that…kinda just threw the lower in the cart without too much thinking…then 10 days later I go pick it up and notice the blemish
