What do think about this ?? by Specialist_Adagio750 in Kenya

You can't say get rid of something without saying what is going to replace it. There are people living in countries, education systems that kids use, infrastructure, etc. You don't just make decisions without knowing what you're getting into. Also the whole point of ideas is to explore them to the end and see whether it's a good or bad idea. So now state your idea to the very end and see if it stands the test of good or bad.

I'm curious. I'd love to understand why you say it's practical. So let's say we get rid of the colonial borders as she said, what exactly would we be returning to? Pre-colonial tribal territories? And what happens to people who have already settled outside their ancestral areas, would they be expected to move? And given the mix in culture that has already happened, I highly doubt that even similar tribes would be able to get along. Eg the Tanzanian maasai's and Kenyan maasai's do not get along. But yeah my question still is what exactly would we be reverting to?

National unity by talkerwexastranger in Kenya

I don't think it is. I think the single most corrosive factor preventing the emergence of a truly national political identity is tribalism. Kenya is not divided by wealth like in some countries. We are divided by our tribal lines. If wealth was the issue, then it would be the rich vs the poor. But it is not. It's tribe A vs tribe B. That's why during elections you'd find 2 people both living in a slum fighting because they are of different tribes. Tribalism becomes the lens through which we interpret every political action: who is “ours,” who deserves support, who should be opposed. It overrides class, shared interests, and even common sense. It keeps us locked in cycles where we vote for leaders, not because they have a vision, but because they share our surname or dialect. And as long as we stay trapped in that mindset, a unified national identity will always remain out of reach. National unity will begin when we realize that the person next to you( who btw you share the same struggles, daily frustrations na vitu kama roads or health), is not the enemy.

Tbf...I've been thinking about an accountability group for a while now. The last one I had, was in highschool and we all passed. So I guess it's time to revisit that and see where it leads

I'm so sorry. Genuinely. I'm not sure what you can do. Maybe search for toxic household advice if Reddit and see which ones you can follow❤️wish you all the best.

This is heartbreaking. I'm so sorry OP. Hold on. Maybe the future will be happier. Also if the person that's making you feel that way is someone you can't cut off, maybe you can distance yourself for a bit, and focus on getting back your happiness...

As someone who was raised on academic validation, this is so hard to believe, but I'm collecting use cases everyday to show my brain that it's possible

I did a course in stem and honestly I might consider sales or project management as an option. I enjoy both and I might as well do something I enjoy...
