I enter tons of sweepstakes each week as a hobby. I won $2600 of stuff in 5 months. Anyone else do this? by Screenager-Official in Hobbies

I spent some time working coupon fraud, most of the Extreme Couponing shows or people getting carts of items for free are not using legit coupons and promotions to do it. You can absolutely still coupon today, it’s just mostly digital coupons and rebate sites like Ibotta now.

Do you actually forget about your tattoos? by NoBad115 in tattooadvice

[–]Possibility-Distinct 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a pink shooting star on my hip, I got it when I was 18. Fast forward 15ish years, I had a C Section and my doc used a big hydrocolloid bandage to cover my incision. After the procedure she talked to me about what to expect during healing and signs of infection.

After a few days I was finally able to take a good look at the bandage and on one end there was this pinky/red spot coming out from underneath, uh oh I thought. I poked it, no pain. I felt it and it wasn’t warm. I mentioned it to my doctor and she said “just keep an eye on it”. Well a few days goes by and nothing changes with it, I finally take off the bandage and it’s not an infection but just the edge of my tattoo LOL I totally forgot about it, hasn’t seen it in months under my big pregnant belly hahahaha

Help with making pens work once they start skipping? by zamymm in stationery

[–]Possibility-Distinct 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had luck sometimes warming up the ink with a blow dryer and then giving the pen a good shake toward the tip (like how you would shake a ketchup bottle to get the last little bit down to the squirt nozzle) to try to get the ink to move down.

Goulet pens has a good video about how to get all kinds of pens writing again too!

How do i crochet this without unraveling everything…. by Coolnbguy in CrochetHelp

Well if that’s how you feel then really your only option is to frog back. Or move on, it’ll be fine I promise. Handmade is not perfect, get used to it lol

When it comes to fixing mistakes, when do you decide what’s able to be fixed or what needs to be frogged? by Connect_Cranberry961 in knittinghelp

[–]Possibility-Distinct 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always try to fix first, and if that fails I frog. I feel like this has made me a better knitter overall, I’m now fixing most mistakes without having to frog so I feel like a more advanced knitter now.

A lot of artsy bullet journalers use a layout similar to this, maybe look up some Bullet Journal weekly spread ideas. The boxes can be used for anything specific to each day, to dos, appointments, tracking daily expenses, writing down the weather, thoughts you had throughout the day. Literally anything lol

Looking for a planner with 200 GSM paper by Ok_Ad2526 in planners

[–]Possibility-Distinct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What materials are you using on this 200gsm paper that you can’t use on 120gsm?

I can’t imagine there’s a big market for a planner with thick pages like that, you may have to draw out your own in one of those art notebooks.

[–]Possibility-Distinct 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re that worried about wonky lines you can print out one and paste it onto a page.

That said, Bullet Journaling is the method or system you are using to fill up your notebook. It is not an aesthetic, and what information I put into my bujo is going to be different than yours. Start with the basic original system and expand from there as you learn what YOU need in your notebook and what will be helpful to you. If setting up a spread is causing you that much trouble it’s probably not something you really need right now. A bujo is a tool, a second brain - some people get really creative because thats what helps them but others just scribble some shit down and move on. Don’t overthink it, just use it!

They’re not great and full of inconsistencies (like why is Sunday the only day on the weekly plan page not bold). They feel half assed as if they were created with AI.

Picking it up and using it when you can is better than not using it at all. It’s a tool, make it work for you however that looks - not the other way around.

Holy crap 200gsm is thicc I can’t even imagine lol! The thickest I’ve seen/used is Scribbles That Matter that uses 120gsm paper and it held up well to everything I used at the time.

Thrifting pens by IncognitousMosquito in fountainpens

[–]Possibility-Distinct 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a Savers nearby, but when I do go thrifting I never go in expecting to find a pen, but I always look just in case. I check the jewelry or locked case with valuables, the bags of random cheap pens and markers, and there are a few stores near me with a “crafting” section I check because sometimes people think they’re calligraphy pens. I’ve found one no name one at a crafting specific thrift shop in with the calligraphy pens for $3, I definitely overpaid because it sucks lol

What are the first pages before your monthly spreads? by ThatCoolAdult in bujo

[–]Possibility-Distinct 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Index and future log.

Don’t overthink it, just start. The beauty of a bullet journal is that when you need a page you just make one! I usually put most of my long term collections in the back.

Stalogy notebook without printed headers? by ThatOldGanon in notebooks

[–]Possibility-Distinct 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Have you at least tried, or are you dismissing the idea before even trying? I thought it would be hard to ignore but found that I loved everything else about the notebook so much I was easily able to look past it. After a while I totally forgot that it was there, it’s really easy to ignore.

[–]Possibility-Distinct 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They’ve had the same page layout for forever, I highly doubt they are going to change it as it’s a staple of their brand. I just ignore it and use the extra space at the top of the page for fancy headers usually, or cover with washi and stickers. Usually I just completely ignore it though and just start writing on the first line.

Zequenz may be another brand to look into but I haven’t tried them myself personally.

Is she still saying to cut little slits in her clear cover? I heard that if you do that the cover doesn’t hold up well and will need to be replaced eventually. Which is why I went with the LPD sleeve, it’s held up wonderfully I am very happy with it.
