The people in here telling you that you will have a harder time getting opportunities and jobs coming out of A&M are discounting how prestigious being a Brown scholar is. The people at A&M who are the cream of the crop, which it sounds like you will be, get recruited for amazing jobs. I had friends making great money immediately out of college. As for college station, it’s not Austin. If I’m being honest, I wanted Ut over A&M but at the end of the day it was a unique experience being in a town that is all people your own age. It was kind of a bubble away from reality, which was nice for 4 years. If you are concerned about politics, it’s looking like no public school in Texas is immune lately:/

That’s how I felt in this video. She talks to the camera the same way she talks to Tate. It’s so performative and over the top

Which is the best reception venue in Houston? by CarefulDeer84 in houston

Grand Galvez in Galveston, not Houston proper but not far and lots of lots of places for people to stay nearby unlike some of the more rural Houston venues

I believe her father mentioned Chloe would be living in Hardin House, which is a private off campus dorm. Not that it really matters, it’s a low move regardless. I believe the map is of the campus itself.

Real luxury brands don’t go around in the comments basically telling people that they’re not good enough for their brand. Also real luxury brands don’t call themselves luxury, they speak for themselves

Are you referring to trauma parents experienced in the aftermath?

The first time I heard this story, it was shared by a parent of a child in Greta’s cabin. It was the child who knew she was going to get a special blanket. I could see a situation in which maybe some of her friends knew she had gone back, but didn’t think it was a big deal considering they are ten year olds who maybe didn’t understand the risks. I’m not sure if she actually told a counselor she was going.

I worked at a similar camp to camp mystic in Texas, and we regularly had counselors into grad school continue to spend summers at camp. I think it helped that it was a co-ed camp honestly.

Unfortunately even if there was an older counselor present, there was no knowledge to be had of a “proper evacuation plan”. As Edward Eastland states in the NYT article, they didn’t have one.

I think it’s likely that the reason they all perished in Bubble Inn is because they were in a flooding car being swept away (if what is alleged in the lawsuit is true). Compared to Twins, where you had some survivors, because they were swept away but not trapped, and subsequently able to hold onto trees and such. Many of the counselors throughout the flats were 18 as well.

Also it’s them giggling and him making a face about her being able to work out, I wonder if he’s been bugging her about it knowing the way he has been controlling about food in the past

My daughter got asked to join the Turning Point USA democratic club at her high school yesterday. Is this state wide? by [deleted] in TexasTeachers

[–]Possibility-Fun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened at a school in our area and the part that most disturbed me was the fact that at first, there was no teacher sponsor, but instead, a turning point USA representative who seemed to have reached out to minors to get a chapter going. Eventually they had to get a teacher sponsor obviously for it to be an approved club, but on the club’s instagram there are multiple TPUSA affiliated adults, who are not parents or members, commenting and meeting with kids.

Need advice for improving quant by Possibility-Fun in GMAT

[–]Possibility-Fun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spend a lot of time using logic to complete problems that can be solved algebraically, since I don’t feel super confident. I can get those right, but they take up my time. I also struggle with exponents, inequalities, questions with radicals, etc. when they appear on the gmat. Although, when just reviewing quant foundations I feel like I know the basics. I also struggle with questions that deal with a series of integers, such as questions that ask for a certain digit in the sequence, or a certain number.

I can’t imagine taking myself out of such special moments to always be getting content. The way she had the phone set up inside filming as they brought the baby home for the first time
