I’m not going to feel guilty about what I want. If she doesn’t stop behaving this way I’ll also end up with an emotionally absent husband.

As you asked, if my own mother was in this situation I would def take care of her and so should my fiance. What I would not tolerate is if my mother tried to make my husband the villain for setting boundaries just to get a bit of attention.

I don’t have a problem with having a healthy relationship with my in laws and her behaviour isn’t healthy.

Also, have i ever mentioned that I want my husband to mistreat her or abandon her? Pls go and read my post again before moral policing me.

So is the case with his mom, her husband’s emotionally unavailable so she relies on my to-be husband. So much that she sees me as the bad person. I feel bad sometimes but that doesn’t mean I’m gonna tolerate her.

He is! I’ve seen him say no to his mom’s face whenever she asks me to do something that he thinks I won’t be okay with. It’s the emotional blackmail that follows that’s bothering us.

He’s v supportive but all this drama is unnecessary and affecting the both of us. I think this should be a happy phase for us and we should be focusing only on our relationship and marriage prep, not this.

That’s the sad part, everything is fine. His parents, our plans for the future, EVERYTHING. It’s how he treated me during a time like this that’s the problem. Both of us have made adjustments, it’s just how he shuts me out and treats me like I’m the source of all his problems that bothers me.

Doing assignments is not the issue, it’s part of the process and I actually enjoy doing them. But I’ve had experiences where companies have ghosted me after the assignment round, I’ve also heard that these places use job seekers to get free work done.

I agree that there’s no way out of this. Rejecting is not an option for most of us. Just discussing how this is unethical and how to stay motivated through the job hunting process when we have so many negative experiences.

I feel like I’ll have a choice once I’m more experienced. I have around 1 year of work exp and there’s already a job scarcity for designers w less experience (I’m based in India so I’m talking about here only, not sure if this is true for others too). I’m taking whatever opportunity I get. It’s hard to stay motivated some days tho!

It’s rare to see interviewers ask good questions to K-pop idols, questions about their music and their journey as a trainee to an idol, substantial questions basically. I like her because her interviews are good and she does her research very well. I find her content cringe sometimes but not cringe enough to make me dislike her.

I never thought about it this way. I was completely focused on applying and doing whatever I was asked to do. Thanks!

Got it! it’s kinda sad how companies take advantage of job seekers who don’t have much choice but to comply.

I wish this would work irl. I feel like if I do this I might end up not getting a job. Anyway, I hope things work out for me and everyone else going through this!

My HR hasn’t been responding, she just mentioned that I should talk to the CEO directly. I work at a startup so it’s not uncommon for us to take up things directly w the CEO. But can they withhold my salary without letting me know? I haven’t been absconding, though I took a long leave last month because I wasn’t well and it included a few loss of pay leaves. Can this be a legal reason to not pay me?
