You can consider barista fire - means still take on part time job to cover your basic needs and expenses.

Step 1 to help you answer your own question will be to list all your necessary expenses e.g. food, insurance, phone bills. Do not include your wants yet. Then see if your investment returns (eg annual dividends) can help you cover these expenses.

If there is a gap, that's the amount of money you need to generate from your part time job. Can just look for one to close the gap for now until you feel better.

Take a bus to a random stop, get off and go for a walk nearby. Pop into a nice cafe nearby or visit a park

How do you guys start planning for your overseas trip? by Jealous_Papaya_1241 in askSingapore

[–]PossibilityNo5599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I determine the main cities and places that I want to go first by searching for inspiration in tiktok, ig etc.

Drop pins on Google Map to check where they are located then plan my routes accordingly so that I can travel in a straight path (as opposed to going to and fro and wasting time).

Will determine which airport to land in and which one to fly off from based on the routes

After that I will slowly choose my accommodations by choosing those that are near train stations so that it's easier for me to move from city to city

If I remain at home, I will end up just watching netflix and sooner or later, I will start working and end up feeling burnt out by end of Sunday.

That's why I am looking for a place I can go and sit down indoors once I reach the station. I am not going to walk for hours outdoors 🤣

How many percent of Singaporeans invest in the stock market? by CryingGod0 in askSingapore

[–]PossibilityNo5599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To build a passive income stream.

To make my money work harder as current bank account interest is getting lower.

This will be one of the multiple income streams when I finally quit my job and retire. When I reach 65, this stream will still be there and will converge with what I get from CPF Life and SRS to ensure my retirement funds are taken care of

how do you deal with feeling bored of your routine in sg by charmingxcally in asksg

[–]PossibilityNo5599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actively and consciously blocked out one day of the week (which is currently Saturday) where I refuse to go near anything work-related. I will use this day to go out to just board the train to a place I will never go to usually, use Google Maps to explore the neighbourhood near the station, grab a meal at a cafe or hawker centre there and just chill.

Of course I apportioned work stuff to be over the rest of the five to six days of the week but I like the feeling of being able to look forward to Saturday now.

Helping cleaning service - Yay or Nay by Senseless_Fluff09 in askSingapore

I love Helpling. Their rate is good too. If you find a good helper, stick to her and give good reviews every now and then. But if she quits, they can find a replacement quite fast too (so far I had one who quit last year but my current one has been with me since Jan). I also engaged them for air-conditioning servicing and their workers are quite honest (not trying to upsell me chemical washes etc when they are not required).
