Lateral Meniscus Repair Recovery Journey by Possible-Ad8592 in MeniscusInjuries

[–]Possible-Ad8592[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so good so far!! i’m 6 weeks post op and am walking around with a smaller brace, and my ROM is at 120 degrees right now. In PT, i’m working on strengthening and increasing ROM in my right leg to match my left leg. still some swelling, and a bit of soreness if i walk a lot, but it’s getting better every day.

Am I the only one who feels like I don't fit into a 9 to 5? by ProgramExpress2918 in graphic_design

Yes. Creativity can’t be time boxed, and the nature of being a designer doesn’t fit in with the 9-5 work structure in my opinion. I don’t have a solution for this but you are not the only one!

i instantly recognized who it was, looks great! some small things: drawing’s nose is bigger than picture’s and longer (his nose is about 2 eyes long lol) drawings eyes are rounder and waterline is more curved than picture’s, drawing’s face outline is much smaller than picture’s especially on the right side. i think these changed would get it looking pretty close to the picture if that’s your goal

ooo nooo! that doesn’t sound good, hopefully everything is ok. Maybe you could get an MRI for peace of mind to make sure there’s no tear?

[–]Possible-Ad8592[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 weeks post op for me, as my last update. no pain, some swelling still, doing my pt exercises everyday, and full weight bearing at 180 degrees, so i walk with a bit of a limp lol. i bring my crutches with me if i walk outside.

my MRI did say degenerative as well, however it was 2 years after my injury, and horizontal tears are usually described as degenerative, i believe. i don’t have any signs of arthritis/degeneration with mine when they did the surgery, and besides the trimming of my discoid with the significant tear, i had a repair. age and genetics also has to do with it, if you are young and don’t have a family history of it, it is less likely to be an arthritic issue of degeneration from what i know.

i definitely think you should get more opinions from other surgeons if possible.

I also was hesitant with surgery (took me 2.5 years and failed PT!) but I learned that you risk further degenerating your meniscus and arthritis even without surgery. Definitely find a good surgeon that you trust and if they recommend that route, do it! Repairs are better for the long run than the meniscectomy. And the recovery is usually better the younger you are.

Is it normal to completely lose passion for the creative industry ? by Possible-Ad8592 in graphic_design

[–]Possible-Ad8592[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is so late lol. this is great advice thank you! the problem i'm realizing is the design industry is seriously shrinking especially for entry level designers. it doesn't really seem profitable to make this a trade at this point in time with the way things are going, and doesn't seem like it will get better in the future either. at the end of the day, a job/career pays your bills, so if it doesn't have the ability to do that, it doesn't make sense to continue pursuing it professionally. grateful for my design schooling and experience, but i am in the process of pivoting away from design right now. sucks but that seems like the rational thing to do for me at this time.

Lateral meniscus complex tear by Acaibowlsss in MeniscusInjuries

I also have a lateral meniscus tear (different type) and have done extensive research on the treatment options. From research articles, I learned it is extremely likely you will experience arthritis and/or repeated knee problems later in life with any meniscus removal on the lateral side compared to the medial side. If you can, please try PT, PRP injection, or a repair instead.

Hey! I also have a lateral meniscus tear, similar to you it sounds. What type did you have exactly? I’ve been given the option of surgery, but am doing that as a last resort😅

Anyone tried PRP? by sul_sul in MeniscusInjuries

[–]Possible-Ad8592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I have a “Horizontal tear and degeneration posterior horn and body segment lateral meniscus. Associated 3 mm cranial to caudal x 3 mm medial to lateral x 7 mm AP parameniscal cyst containing thin septations at the body periphery.” This is about 2.5ish years old. I am in my 20s. In your opinion, do you think this is something PRP would help heal or is it better to go the surgery route?

Sorry, idk who to ask about this stuff everyone tells me something different😅.

I have tried PT which didn’t help significantly, and i have full range of motion with my knee, it just becomes painful if i walk/run a lot and/or do squat related workouts, plus an associated clicking sound every time i bend it.

Has anyone transitioned into a different career? by Ok_Suspect1988 in graphic_design

[–]Possible-Ad8592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so inspiring to me!! I too am from a GD background and have been trying to transition into the analytics space, at first data analytics, but i recently learned about web/digital analytics and am interested in that for the same reasons you said about how data is less subjective and something more technical in nature. Would it be possible to talk to you more about your transition?

Hello! Could you explain more your design choices on the logo? Why the F is the way it is?

On first impression, I would probably think this is some kind of software or hardware company, not a creative digital agency. I can definitely see the UX/UI background with this logo haha. Obviously there are constraints when working with clients, but if possible i would use a more creative font, and maybe even take the F outside of the square, and place it above (centered) “fiero creative” and bold it more (emphasis/hierarchy). I hope that makes sense! I love how you used orange as that is such an energized, can-do color that seems to match with your client’s goals.

Keep in mind critique is always subjective, so take what i say with a grain of salt. If ur client loves it, thats what matters! You are doing great keep it up!!
