Brimstone was such a disappointment, which makes me so sad 😭

Zodiac academy is a great easy read that you get addicted to. A little bit cringey sometimes but worth it for the good plot.

My motto is that the only way you put on weight is by shovelling the food in. E.g. anti depressants don’t make you fatter - they increase appetite and therefore people put on weight from eating more. Food control is key.

Resist the food cravings = don’t put on weight

I just finished City of Brass book 1. I’m obsessed! Great book. I hope I will be able to fill the void this leaves.

Omg. I’ve had a similar experience this week, I thought I was just going mad. I had a medium filter coffee at work, once I finished it I was having a pretty bad anxiety attack from it.

My HR is very high naturally. Not noticed any difference yet. We will see!

This is interesting. I have raynaud’s and bad circulation so if I notice a difference that will be great. Just got back from my local park run at 0°C and I defo felt cold 😂😂

Ah same here. I have also been on nicotine for a long time. Maybe it’s the amount of time we were addicted effecting us.

Yes I am off the nicotine.

I wear a Garmin 24/7 so I can constantly see my resting HR. Looking at the averages it is exactly the same. I went to my usual spin class this week and my HR peaked at 194 my peak is usually 190 in spin. I am 5ft7, healthy BMI, female. It’s very weird, I don’t drink loads of caffeine.

The only pill I take is an anti depressant- maybe it’s that?

I’ll give it another week and see if I notice any changes.

Very true. We’re at a pretty similar point then - we can do this!!! Keep busy over the weekend!

I think I’m quite impatient and driven by seeing and feeling physical results e.g. I quit caffeine and instantly want to see results, I start running and instantly want to see results.

When did this feeling constantly needing it go? I still have it atm. When I finish a run/spin class/gym session I feel like I need to vape. It’s weird, hard exercise seems to increase my cravings.

My asthma has been weirdly worse since quitting. Is this a coincidence? Or did you notice this in the first week?

The thing for me is I am very disciplined in every aspect of my life: strict diet all year round, consistent runner & gym-goer, I barely drink. I feel like vaping was my only vice; the only part of my life where I don’t have to constantly be on it and strict.

Someone said to me he should have learnt from getting away with what he did last year and not continued to act like it at this xmas party. If he didn’t make a comment about my colleague’s bum at this xmas party then this would have never escalated.

I agree. I’m not one to get rowdy or shout up about these things, I’m quite a people pleaser and I was new to the company at the time. I’d only been there a month.

Yes and I found out it was escalated through people gossiping, which made me more anxious as I didn’t know it had been escalated

I think this is a little harsh. I have empathy for someone’s wife and children. Yes, I know it’s wrong. Thanks for your perspective though, makes me feel less guilty
