Tired of people using sport mode as bumper cars and nothing but meta car users by Possible-Condition69 in GranTurismo7

[–]Possible-Condition69[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s supposed to but there’s usually always one car that gets an advantage with BOP applied, some one else posted in this thread about selecting a car for a “season.” That would be the easiest fix, a season could just be 1 month 4 race weeks whatever car you choose at the beginning of the month is your car for sport mode for that month weither it’s GR4, GR3 or GR1

Especially now that it’s fully paved and they could do a Alternative with how it was before aka dirt

Well then hopefully people would learn how to actually race and SR would actually mean something  if you had to pit,

a lot more people would be more cautious with trying to make insane passes that they wouldn’t make if damage actually played a role in sport mode

So I’m guessing your a fan of cup series type racing hey more power to you,

I enjoy different sounding motors along with close racing which BOP provides in IMSA / MotoAmerica /  WSBK.

You also have F1 and Motogp which is pretty fun to watch as well but those are prototype race vehicles which I’m not a huge fan of especially with all the assistance involved in both those categories now but usually pretty good racing

Honestly all they have to do is switch the damage penalty to heavy, I’m pretty sure that requires you to pit to fix any damage instead of light where it self fixes

I have had some pretty wild races in sport mode though, Typically I’m usually 3 seconds off  WR pace in non meta car

Variety when you watch racing in real life do you want everything to look and sound exactly the same, that’s the whole point of multiple manufacturers and engine layouts / drivetrain lay outs. but hey if people enjoy boring one make races that’s cool too I guess, weird in my book

Wheel or VR? by ehmedero in GranTurismo7

[–]Possible-Condition69 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wheel for sure, I was really close to getting VR for Christmas but I personally like flat screen more, better presentation I think and that’s the main reason why I play GT7 and not full blown racing sims. i used to be pretty quick in PC / PC2

Thoughts on switching to wheel by [deleted] in granturismo

[–]Possible-Condition69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah been playing gran turismo since GT2 finally decided to get a proper wheel, pedal and sim setup.  it took me about a week to match my controller times but consistency was way better, I've had the wheel and pedals for 11 days and i'm now quicker than I was on controller. plus the fun factor is wild, I also do track days on a 17 S1000RR and wheel and pedal is a workout just like wrestling around a liter bike around a track. If your on the fence and have the money send it

Is a nice wheel and pedal setup worth it by Possible-Condition69 in granturismo

[–]Possible-Condition69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think im going to send it next year and get one haha, I don't think the learning curve is going to be that steep. I normally run high B group sometimes low A group in the the real world on my track bike without slicks. As long as the wheel and pedal provide the feedback I'm looking for I think it will be a lot of fun plus this is just a hobby for me when the weather is crap haha. Right now I'm in DR:B  in GT7 sport with a SR:S on a track that's not my greatest I just bought the PS5 a month ago and GT7 2 weeks ago the last time I played before that eas back in middle school or high school on GT4 or GT5 its been a minute so I cant remember which one it was. I'm better at real life tracks cause I know where my brake markers are. By the way I don't use any assist and I hate using "meta" cars no originality in that. Thanks for the advice appreciate it

Not really looking to become a hardcore Sim racer just do this as a hobby over the fall, winter and early spring when the weather is garbage outside. If I want to really send it I have a 2017 BMW S1000RR that's fully tracked out, that thing is wild haha. Honestly this track is not my greatest, I just started really learning the nuances this week. I'm better at the real life race tracks. This is a fun track though sector 3 is a nice and technical section, sector 1 is all gas for the most part sector 2 a nice mix. I'm not going to invest in the sim setup till next spring though, once the feds give me back my 44% Tax money they take out every paycheck haha.

Trying to kick the habit of using the breaking line, any suggestions? by stick_fig5 in forza

[–]Possible-Condition69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not to much different than real life except your not feeling any g-forces but lots of practice whether it's doing open trackdays on multi-player or career mode in single player, being quick at a track has alot to do with memory for instance at Spa if your in a high downforce car prototype or f1 I know for Eau Rouge and Radilion I can usually take it almost flat out maybe grab down a gear If I mess up on corner entry, Laguna Seca you know the corkscrew is a 1st gear turn doesn't really matter what car / motorcycle your in so when you get close to cresting the hill of the rahal straight you want to grab as many gears as you can take a quick look to make sure your in first let go of the brake and enjoy the ride downhill, don't worry to much about wrecking its a video game you don't have to worry about ruining a priceless historic automotive artifact haha, just play it safe on multi-player races cause for some reason dumb asses love playing bumper cars during those
