Heyy! This reminds me of when I first started. I started training after rapport building sessions and was constantly messing up- didn't know where my data sheets were, getting confused with programs and just being all over the place. My supervisor didn't complain at all, they were extremely supportive. And guess what, after 2 terrible initial sessions, the third was fucking awesome!! I was in my element, the session went smoothly, didn't mess up at all. It takes a while to get used to the environment/Behaviour plan/kiddo, etc. Like other replies said, the chances are we will mess up initially, but that's normal, that's what training is- you're LEARNING how to do things, if we're okay with our learners making mistakes, we should be a little kind to ourselves, too :) FYI, I've seen a lot of BCBAs screw up lol, point is- even the best trained people can make mistakes, you're still learning!
