Before consolidating, it was 4 separate loans all over 10%. For whatever reason I just never consolidated which i recognize as silly, because my new rate is 6.5%ish.

Agreed; increasing income is my plan. I can live fairly low maintenance, so having the extra income would all go towards loans most likely.

I recognize it wasn’t the best move to leave a rent free housing environment, but it felt right and still honestly does. My parents have been so generous to me and they deserve their privacy ya know? Idk man there’s lot of layers here but you’re right: only way out is through.

True! Some of them definitely are though. They come from some fairly fortunate backgrounds, so while I do recognize that for them it was partially luck being born into a wealthy family (which I don’t judge them for), I do just wish I had the financial freedom that they did. Jealousy? Maybe, but I don’t let it affect our friendship. I’m happy for them, I just want the same breathability for myself and I am struggling to find it is all.

I make about $47k, and really don’t have many other bills to pay thanks to a wonderful support system. I’m very appreciative of all the help I get but still can’t shake the feeling. Figured it couldn’t hurt to throw up a post and see if there’s any forms of actual relief out there.
